About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I can't even say enough good things about Belinda's. We were driving from LA to Anaheim to go to Disney with our kids and yelped breakfast places. The place next door actually came up and that's where we intended to go, but when we pulled up and saw Belinda's and all the breakfast options we knew we had to go there instead. The guy working the register and taking orders was so friendly and chatty. Such a nice guy. Then older man who brought out our drinks and food was also super nice. Just a really positive, happy vibe. The food was amazing!! Chilaquiles were really good and I'm pretty picky. Everyone makes them different so you never know what you are going to get. But theirs were terrific. After we ate we left, but as we got in the car, my daughter started screaming about her eye. She must have touched something spicy on my plate and rubbed her eye. So I rushed her back in to the bathroom and put some damp towels on it. When we came out and I told him (I really wish I got his name!) they got her a cup full of ice and a really cold paper towel to wrap around the ice. What nice people. So 5 stars for the food and another 5 stars for the cool people!! Thanks guys!

One of the closest places to Mrs's work. We usually get food to go from this restaurant. We call ahead and by the time we drive to the restaurant, our food is ready. Pros: Very delicious Carne Asada burrito. Best in town. (+1) Sauces are full of flavor and not overly hot (+1) Good customer service Cons: Not enough seating inside. (-1) Horchata was not good compared to the other Mexican places.

Yumm!!! I have had a hard time finding a great Mexican food place since moving to the area over a year ago, but Belinda's has filled that void. The tripas are delicious and it is hard to find a place that knows what they are doing with tripas. The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable, orders are always ready quickly, and the place is clean. I only wished they delivered! :)

The food is pretty good. Except, every time I go there I get diarrhea. Not sure if it's worth it, but I keep coming back. Maybe if they clean up better I wouldn't get viral diseases of my stomach. Will I be back, depends on how much I care about my colon.

Was in the area and stopped based on Yelp reviews. My family and I really enjoyed the authenticity of the food. Chilaquiles verdes were spicy and delicious. Will be back for the great food and service!

Wow, what a popular place! Restaurant was 100% packed to the brim packed together like sardines. We were going to flee for another place when a table opened up and the friendly cashier beckoned us to stay. If you're eating in they'll provide you menus so don't worry about having to stand there and read the wall menu. While reading the menu we're brought out chips & salsa. I loved the salsa here. It could see pieces of dried chilies which really added a depth of flavor making it very unique. I couldn't get enough of it. Luckily there's a salsa bar in the back to get as much as you want. They had other varieties too but the default "Jalapeño" one was like crack and I could have eaten it like gazpacho soup. To drink I went with their cucumber pineapple aqua frescas. Donna took a sip and cringed in horror not liking the flavor but I loved it. Very refreshing and besides getting a giant glass of it they'll treat you to a free refill! Under entrees I noticed you can add a cup of soup for $2.49. To my surprise you can pick a cup of any soup they offer so I went with pozole. Their definition of "cup" is insane. The bowl was enormous and a meal in itself. Fiery red soup filled with hominy and melt in your mouth pork. A steal for $2.49. They also had menudo, albondigas, and a few others I can't recall. For my entree I went with the dos sopes plate with pastor as my meat. For some stupid reason I thought to myself "I'll order lite.... I'll get sopes since they're usually pretty small". Nope, these were monster sized sopes. For those who don't know what a sope is it's a disc of masa that's been deep fried. The sides are higher than the middle so it holds in the toppings. If done right it has a crispy exterior yet soft interior. They were perfect here. Topped with marinated grilled pork, lettuce, beans, sour cream, guacamole, and queso fresco. If this wasn't enough food already it was served with rice and beans. I have a mental condition where if the food is in front of me I have to eat it all yet even I couldn't conquer this plate especially after the soup. I felt 9 months pregnant and my water was about to break so I threw in the towel and stopped eating about 80% into it. Donna not used to being the only white person in a restaurant ordered cheese enchiladas in a panic for comfort. They came out looking pretty good and she said they were just OK. Next time she said she'll be more adventurous. There will definitely be a next time since this place was frickin' awesome. Service was friendly, food was awesome, prices cheap..... will be back!

Love Belinda's! Great costumer service. The salsa is so delicious! Their beans are amazing.

Just trust the 4 stars. You will not be disappointed on how deliciously authentic the food they serve here. There will be a party in your mouth as the flavor of each dish pops! Mole, enchilada, all kinds of tacos, burito, and menudo-all of them rock! I have a detailed plan on what to try on my next visits...shrimp ceviche, carne with salsa verde, birria, pozole, 7 mare caldo, and basically their entire menu, except for the all day breakfast of pancakes, sausages bacon & eggs. The place is small and can easily get packed during dinner. The wait is a bit long for a dine-in.

A little upset with the service. Ordered over the phone, could barely hear. No lengua, but ordered a couple tacos, chilaquiles, sope, a posole, and a watermelon agua fresca ( 2 flavors as options: watermelon OR cantelope pineapple ). When we picked up, it wasn't ready still, but we waited only about less than 10 more min. Turns out he didn't charge me for posole so I tried to just order one right there and nope, there's no more. -_- so they read the rest of my order to me but didn't give me my drink so I told them I got a watermelon agua fresca as well. He says, oh well we just mixed the watermelon and cantelope/pineapple, is that okay? Well what the heck, I mean I paid for it already right? - 1 star for no lengua, no posole. And -1 star for not telling me there was no posole, and just NOT putting it in my order because there was none and also for not pouring my drink when I ordered before they decided to mix the both drinks together.. Foood is bomb tho. I would say order to go and order ahead of time. This place is known to take a while (based on experience and other yelpers' reviews)

Sunday is brunch day. So we relied on good ol' Yelp to help us find a brunch location near Fullerton. Originally we were going to Sunrise Cafe, but next door was Belinda's. The place was jumping and people were outside waiting for their to-go orders. I was scanning the Sunrise Cafe menu, not really "feeling" up to pancakes and eggs as I kept eyeing the mouthwatering pictures on Belinda's window. Meanwhile, more people were walking in to Belinda, and yet no one was going inside Sunrise. We decided to try Belinda's, and it was a great choice. When I walked inside, it was a difficult to figure out if we were to grab a table, ask for a table, or order at the front and then get a table. There were plenty of staff, but no one was helping us. (ding them one point for the disorganized way of hosting!). Finally someone point for us to "sit there" and we waited quite a bit for a menu (I had to ask). Once we got our menus, the rest came into place. Our chips n salsa came out quickly, our drinks came out, and we placed our order. I wanted Menudo, but the server sadly informed me that it sold out at 11:00 am (it was a little after noon at that time). I settled on Pozole, the pork and hominy soup, and Stephen chose the Birria, the goat stew. The bowls were ginormous! They're the huge bowls you find at the mexican supermarkets (or Big Lots) and they were filled ot the brim. My Pozole came with 2 crisp tortillas, shredded cabbage, radish, onions, cilantro, and, of course the lime. The pork was so tender and it wasn't spicy at all. I couldn't find a server for tapatio, so I added salsa to my soup. Stephen really enjoyed his Birria, and the meat also melted in your mouth. There's a salsa bar at the front of the restaurant, with house salsa, additional types of salsa, and additional condiments to add to your meal. There's a coke machine at the front of the restaurant, which I assumed was get your own refills. Our brunch, 2 huge bowls of soups plus 2 sodas came to $25, which included tax/ tip. Service could be better, but the food and portions compensates for that.

We'd planned to eat brunch at Sunrise Café next door, but when we got there and saw how many people were eating at Belinda's and how empty Sunrise Café was, we changed our mind and decide to eat at Belinda's instead. Located in a dilapidated strip mall, Belinda's is a small restaurant with tightly-packed seating. We got a table against the wall near the entrance. When the restaurant got busier, the line from the register formed between the rows of tables, directly behind my chair, reducing personal space and making it a bit of a struggle to later visit the restroom. The chips and salsa were pretty good, although some of the chips were extremely salty. If you don't like the salsa that's provided, they've got a salsa bar near the entrance with several types of salsa, including chipotle and arbol/Serrano, as well as chilies and limes. My girlfriend was going to order menudo, but it was gone for the day, so she got one of the last couple of bowls of pozole instead. I tried some and thought it was very good. I might get that on a future visit to Belinda's. This time I ordered the birria en caldo. I'd had birria before at El Camino Real in Fullerton, where they make it using beef. My girlfriend asked and was told at Belinda's it's made more traditionally, using goat. The birria wasn't bad. The better pieces of meat were soft and flavorful, reminding me a bit of oxtail. There were other pieces with a lot of fat of bone, and I didn't bother too much with those. The soup itself was tasty, but I expected something else in the soup besides the meat, like vegetables and hominy. The soup was served with freshly-chopped cilantro and onion,a lime wedge, and three tortillas. Although I did want to try the birria, I guess I should have ordered the caldo de res or the pozole instead.

I love love this place! This is hand down the best authentic Mexican restaurant in SoCal outside of San Diego! Every single dish here is excellent, from taco to burrito, soups, breakfast meals. My favorite is the buche (intestine) and lengua (beed tonge)! They especially have very authentic aqua chille, which reminds me of my trip to Cancun. This is as authentic as it gets. They also have daily fresh aqua fresca, though it is a little sweet for me. PS: Remember to ask for the green sauce near the kitchen. Trust me, it's BOMB!
(5)Dan M.
Really good tacos, got caught off guard with the asada ones, great flavor my boy love them!! Definitely coming back! Quick service and decent prices l.
(4)Cindy M.
The best Mexican food around. I had the carne asada tacos with rice and beans, and they were perfectly seasoned. Service was great...
(5)Diana T.
Was craving tacos for lunch, so searched on Yelp and this was 0.8 miles away from work, so my coworker and I decided to give it a try. A hole in the wall, it was busy and packed, always people coming and going. The guy at the register was superb at multi-tasking, picking up the phone for orders, taking customers' orders in the restaurant, and checking on orders to inform those waiting if their orders were ready, aside from the food, he is the personnel that gets this restaurant 5 stars. Despite how busy he was, he still carried a smile, and was friendly, and attentive. When we asked for napkins from a lady, she walked on by, he heard and gave us the napkins we had requested. Then when we were packing the sauces to go, their Jalapenos sauce ran out, so we told the lady the sauce was out and without any eye contact she just said "no more." My 2 coworkers and I all ordered the 3 Tacos w/ drink for $6.29 before tax, that comes with a small bag of chips each. We all had Al Pastor, Carne Asada and Carnitas. Which was all really good on its own, the lime and hot sauces gave it an extra kick. Would definitely come back again to check out some of their other menu selection.

I was realllly craving some good authentic tacos tonight and saw decent reviews for Belinda's on yelp, so I decided to check it out. So glad I did. My husband and I each got the 3 taco combo which comes with a drink for only $6.29 each! I tried the asada, carnitas, and pastor; loved each one!! There's a salsa counter with three types to choose from. I really liked the brown, milder one since I'm a wimp when it comes to spicyness :P Also, I really liked that they give you FRESH homemade tortilla chips before and during your meal!! Service was alright, the first waitress who helped us was a little bit short with us, but the waitress who helped us for the rest of the night was very attentive and friendly! The restaurant had a very casual feel to it with two TVs playing two different channels, which I liked. I noticed that it also seems to be a popular takeout place since 2-3 groups of people came in to order or to pick up a phoned-in order while we were there. I wouldn't mind coming back though and can't wait to try their other dishes!
(4)Melina C.
Great place! I have never been disappointed! Family owned, staff is friendly, food is good, definitely all I need in a little Mexican Restaurant.
(4)Worarit T.
Maybe it's cause they were busy but I wasn't feeling their food at all. Tacos were super oily. I know they dipped it into the meat pot but it was just so much. Meat from best to worst were buche then cabeza then asada then carnitas. They were just ok and nothing special. Salsa was average and the chips were stale. Tacos were pricy too.
(2)Felix W.
The employees were very welcoming when we came in. The food was (I ordered a supreme burrito I believe... its one of the breakfast burritos) fantastix.. normally I cannot finish a breakfast burrito (small one) but I was able to finish the whole thing. It was extremely hot... meaning it was FRESHLY MADE. It had more meat than hash.. which was fantastic. Deff coming back.
(5)Noemi C.
Today was not a good day to return.. Ordered a simple breakfast.. Mind you it wasnt busy at all.. Walked in and we were the second party of two.. So i ordered pancake and eggs (two pancakes, two eggs with hashbrowns). First of all don't ask me what style of eggs I would like if you have something else in your agenda.. I asked for over well.. I get over hard.. Hashbrowns well done (didn't ask for that).. Which I had to use my napkin to soak up all the oil. If you would've been able to see my napkin.. Let me tell you.. Not nice.. Plus my pancakes I received pretty much after my husband finished his meal and after waiting about 20 minutes after receiving our plates.. Did I mention we were the second party of two and a third party of six had just walked a few minutes before receiving our plates.. Plus there is no consistency on the customer service there.. There are two guys there that are extremely humble and attentive.. And there's another guy that isn't so humble can't even say good morning when the customer greets him and not attentive at all. I had to stop him to ask him for a refill of coffee.. Apparently passing by about six times and seeing an empty mug wasn't a big enough hint that I might like some more coffee especially if its at the edge of the table.. So like I said at the beginning.. Not a good day.. For Belinda's..

Came here this afternoon with family! It was actually pretty good little hole in the wall place. Customer service was okay the girl was very attentive but kinda rude or quiet you can say. I ordered the enchiladas they were pretty good with the green sauce.

This is a good spot to eat at for Mexican food. Tried it out and it was very good, had al pastor tacos with carnitas nachos and they were good. I liked that they put shredded cheese on the nachos to give it a better flavor than cheese sauce. I would try it again.

I just started working in the city of Buena Park and found this place on yelp. I've been here a number of times and am never disappointed with the food. The first time I got a burrito to be safe, and it was really tasty. There lengua is really good and I am very particular when I eat it. I've also tried their enchiladas they were in the right amount of sauce, not overwhelming, but just right. Today I tried their shrimp soup and for eight dollars they give you a giant Bowl. They are very generous with their portion. After coming here so many times and having great food and great service every time, I can't picture myself eating at any other Mexican spot

I'm so happy this place is so close to my house. I've tried the menudo, pozole, birria, burritos and tacos from here and everything is DELICIOUS. The birria is to die for, so flavorful and tender. The tacos are so good! Each taco comes with cilantro and onions and plenty of meat. Definitely try out the aguas frescas if you can! The mango passionfruit one almost had me in tears because it was THAT good. Their menu is huge, but I look forward to trying as many things as I can. I definitely recommend this place to anyone if you want really good Mexican food.

Roy B, and Steve S, and Randi and Minerva- they no lie! This little HITW is fricking awesome. Very tiny with seating for probably like 25 people. You can't be shy here about seating. Plop your butt down at one of the two tops that are like 3 inches from your neighbor. You can lean over and say " hey are you gonna eat that?". The food is amazing, and yes Steve S, the beans are by far the best I have had. My husband and I both got the same thing.. Three taco plate with rice and beans. We chose carnitas, carne asada, and al pastor. All three were quite good with my favorite being the carnitas. This actually surprised me because I usually favor the al pastor. I didn't taste any pineapple which is a main ingredient in the marinade. We also got a side of guacamole and it was decidedly homemade and not out of a tub. I felt super bad for Spencer's bistro because it was completely empty at lunch. I've had it bookmarked for quite some time. Perhaps they are a little too spendy for lunch, but I will make a concerted effort to try them out really soon.
(4)Jason C.
Staff was unfriendly from the start. When someone says they are new to a location it is nice if the employees offer a suggestion or ask if we have any questions, this was not the case at this location. The food was just OK and the salsa selections were not diverse enough for my preference.

Visiting with the family. Kids wanted Mexican food. Went on a limb through yelp and found Belinda's cafe We ordered the tacos, torta both carne asada, chili verde and albondigas soup. everything was delicious
(5)Cindy A.
In giving this place 5 stars!!!! They catered my son's birthday party and HOOKED US UP! We requested to have all of the food pre-made so we would just have to pick up the food and serve to our guest. They gave us more than enough food and it was so delicious!! Everyone was complimenting on how great the food tasted. I will for sure be ordering food for future parties from here. Steve was so great of getting everything in order.

Home made tortillas on weekends! + Funny, likeable guy at register + Good friendly Service + Good Portions + Decent Prices + Offers a big variety of dishes + Meats are big, flavorful, moist, and not all fatty like most places. + Tortillas are kept in container staying soft and warm (rather than just folded or rolled up on the side of your dish which then eventually gets all cold and tough) They usually offer two different drinks, one is a mixed fruit drink (strawberry, pineapple something) and the other is a tamarind and guava drink. They are both really, really good! You gotta try them, both! - Could use better a/c - Rice is sometimes a little dry and could use a little more flavor ~ (neutral comment) They offer American food (hamburgers, fries, etc.)

I can't believe I didn't know about this place until earlier this year! This is our go to Mexican food spot. Although we've only had their tacos & burritos (with & without sauce), it's still one of the best Mexican spots I've encountered. Their meats (carne asada, chicken & carnitas) are flavored really well! Their burritos come with rice, beans, onions, cilantro and salsa...drench that thing in red and/or green sauce and it's the best thing that's hit your taste buds! I've never dined in so I can't speak about the servers/wait staff BUT the people who've taken our orders are always friendly and very informative. They have a little salsa bar which comes with 3 different salsas (jalapeno, chipotle and serrano). My favorite is the jalapeno salsa. They also have the pickled jalapenos with carrots and grilled & chilled whole jalapenos for your enjoyment. Their menu is pretty big and I can't wait to try out their other items!
(5)Brenda P.
EVERYTHING is freaking amazing here! From their tortas to their taquitos to their agua frescas! The taquitos á la carte were the perfect little snack for my lunch today. They also have the combo which comes with rice and beans if you're a bit more hungry. Definitely fantastic homemade flavors they got going on here.

I was taking a last minute trip. Found this spot. Ordered my favorite chilaquiles (verde) breakfast. I was greeted right when i walked in. The guy at the order counter (with the music note tattoo behind his ear) was very nice, personable, and helpful when it came to deciding what i wanted to order. My breakfast was delicious and i would recommend and come back again, myself

This place was packed during lunch when I stopped by. In a good way. I got the asada (steak) burrito and ate in the restaurant. Prices are reasonable imo, the burrito was filling; came with rice, beans, onions, and cilantro. It was authentic tasting and delicious. I do have to gush about the ultra friendly service though. These guys work their butts off! I ordered my burrito and went to the bathroom really quick, and when I came out they already had my burrito ready! Maybe it was just the ease of my order, but still: All the workers were constantly running around serving orders, refilling drinks, and confirming with customers that they got exactly what they wanted. Bravo!
(4)Jonathan R.
I LOVE burritos and its hard to find a spot that makes one worth the prices places charge for them. But I think this spot will be an exception. Also tried the chicken taco, Bomb! I'm not Hispanic, but I've eaten enough Mexican food to know this place is authentic enough to me. And they have a few good old American meals if you're with someone who doesn't like Mexican food, but I have yet to hear of ANYBODY who doesn't like Mexican food.
(5)Lance B.
So good. I have passed by this place several times meaning to try it, and I'm glad I finally did. The place was packed at lunch time, but the food and the service was exceptional. all of the staff made me feel like a regular, the torta al pastor is second to none. can't wait to go back
(5)Brandi P.
Hands down my favorite place I come for pazole at least once a week they serve everyday and u can bring ur own pot. Meat is soooo tender. The best pazole. Its money. The Al pastor spicy and full of flavor can't go wrong w taco or burrito
(5)Sandra S.
I woke up craving Chilaquiles this morning. I had this place bookmarked for awhile & thought I'd give it a shot. The place was busy when we got here a little before noon. A few of the waitresses saw us standing by the door, waiting to be seated and didn't acknowledge us for over five minutes. Apparently, this place is a seat yourself type restaurant, we had no idea because there's no sign stating to do so & it was our first time. Finally, one of the waitresses came up to us and told us to sit at the only empty table. We ordered the Chilaquiles with Carne Asada and an order of the Pozole. The Pozole was pretty good and had tons of pork and hominy in it. The Chilaquiles were okay. The chips were slightly mushy when it came out. The carne asada was pretty bland and lacked any type of seasoning. The refried beans and rice were both good. They have a self-serve salsa bar with 3 types of salsas, chilis, and lime. I probably wouldn't order the Chilaquiles again & if I did I'd get them with a different meat because the carne asada was too plain. I do want to go back to try some tacos. Adios!
(3)David M.
Great Place for lunch A bit small Great Service
(4)Ken E.
This place a little hole in the wall but their food is excellent!!! Came here after spending the day at Knotts. My friend ordered the carne asada burrito and I ordered their carne asada tacos, carnitas, and al pastor - the flavors were great and the food tasted fresh. They offer a salsa bar as you might find in a typical taco joint. Prices are crazy reasonable. The cashier was friendly. The menu is pretty extensive and if I'm ever in the area again, this is def a must go for some tasty Mexican food!!!
(4)Betania R.
Food is good but the girl that serves is a complete asshole she argues with the customers & if you order to go & decide to eat in she tells you that she will not give you chips & salsa , she'll ask for you to move from the table if you placed the order to go as well .
(1)Emily K.
Super tasty, very attentive staff, great food! I didn't expect to be waited on. Most small place like that you go and order then they bring your food. So that was a nice surprise! Will definitely be back for breakfast! Extensive menu and decent prices! I had a wet bean and cheese burrito with red sauce. Excellent portions! I could finish mine but my husband ate most of his food.
(4)Michael M.
Best authentic Mexican food in the area. And these are the BEST micheladas I have ever had.
(5)manuel d.
I love this place, you can't really go wrong with any of their food, sucks they don't have AC but the food makes up for it. The pozole is Bomb and the chile rellenos are great. Sunday mornings get pretty packed.
(4)Chanda A.
Decided to try this place when my husband and I were looking for a local place to have a Mexican Breakfast. I wasn't in the best of mood that day, but as soon as we got there we were greeted so friendly, it really made my morning. The service is awesome! I ordered the Mexican Polish and it was delicious. So fast and coffee was constantly refilled. They have a salsa bar and you still get chips and salsa for breakfast which was nice. Overall had a great experience. This is gonna be our hole-in-the-wall spot for breakfast. I would recommend this place and I'm definitely coming back.
(5)Vivica O.
Waitresses are horrible, no people or service skills whatsoever, and they need to be replaced by competent, customer service oriented staff like last year already. I refuse to ever come back even if it was for a free meal. I'd rather drive to Anaheim to La Villa's where the food is excellent and the service is too.
(1)Ryan C.
From experience, it looks like their homemade tortillas are only made in the morning and are gone by the afternoon. The time it takes to get the food after ordering takes longer than usual, but the staff is nice and friendly. Food was decent; nothing was outstanding but it's not horrible either. Their horchata was satisfying. It's a little warm place if you ever want some authentic Mexican grub, which is hard to come by in the BP area.
(3)Candice S.
Called in to place an order. I understand they are probably busy but they were Very rude and hung up on me without telling me how much and letting me provide my ETA. I called back, and he hung up again. The customer service really messed up my experience and don't plan to return.
(2)Penny S.
I like Belinda's, I've had a couple bad experiences with the employees but they're food is usually good. For some reason I always feel uncomfortable when I go inside, so I always feel the need to order to go.
(3)Rod D.
This is a good place if you need a quick fix of authentic Mexican food. A bit on the rough side in terms of ambiance, but you need to come here primarily for the food. The trick is to fall in line, order and pay for your food, eat it and then get out quickly.
(4)Cindi D.
Breakfast is great and prices amazing! My first time at Belinda's was on Sunday and the food looked incredible! As I walked in I saw a wet breakfast burrito and had to order it. It tasted as great as it looked and so big I was able to take 1/2 home. I am back today for machaca and eggs. So yummy and I can't wait to try different items on the menu!
(5)Roy B.
Bean (pun intended) here a bunch of times but just realized I'd never reviewed Belinda's Authentic Mexican Food. yelp.com/biz_photos/beli… Belinda's is a great little HITW packed in the corner of a little strip mall bordered by soon to be open café, a del Taco, a lawnmower shop and a treriaki joint you'd miss Belinda's if you weren't looking. But look for it and ye shall be rewarded by some good moderately priced Mexican fare. I think I might have been a Mexican in another life because I really love Mexican food. Don't matter what kind, I have a big weak spot in my heart (and belly) for the stuff. Belinda's never disappoints and everything I've tried here has been delicious. The salsa Bar is solid. There are several tasty sauces, carrots, radishes, limes,& peppers they will also give you all the cilantro and onions if you ask. yelp.com/biz_photos/beli… They hook you up with some C&S to start things off while your deciding what to eat. yelp.com/biz_photos/beli… Oh yea and unlike most HITW Mex. joints they have Ice cold beer too! The tacos here are spot on. With my fav's being the asada and pastor both flavorful and loaded with meat. yelp.com/biz_photos/beli… I recently had the Camerones Diabla ... Shrimp in a tangy chili sauce with peppers and onions, comes with beans and rice. The Shrimp were so tasty swimming in a bath of mildly spicy goodness. These hit the spot. yelp.com/biz_photos/beli… The rice is ok but I'm with Steve S. the refied beans here are the real deal (Manteca I think) and taste great! But do not fret a little lard in your diet will make you a happy person and will not kill you. I also like the wet burritos and chili rellenos here too. And I'm wanting to try the breakfast here as well ...... Machaca and huevos rancheros are calling out to me. The Staff here is always friendly, polite and helpful no parking issues, so no worries, just good eats. So give Belinda's a shot you wont be sorry.
(4)Matt M.
I've only recently started coming here and I don't know what I would do without Belinda's. The food is great, the staff is friendly, they have pozole year-round and serve beer. That's important for a guy like me on a Sunday morning. Today was extra special though. I had the day off of work, had their chilequiles with a Pacifco for breakfast, and the waitress complimented me on my beard. Mission accomplished Belinda's. Thanks for making my day!
(5)Glen N.
We get Belinda's twice a month on our lunch break--- their fair prices and lean and perfectly cooked carnitas are one of the reasons I stay at my horribly stressful job.
(5)Denny And Denise R.
We have eaten her twice now and have been very pleased both times. Food is fresh, authentic, inexpensive and they have very friendly service. We will go again for sure!
(5)Zamunda Z.
Had lunch at this Mexican joint 10/23, a group of us from work. It's set up like a fast food place but sitting & service feels like a sit down restaurant. I ordered their two taco dinner deal. comes with refried beans and rice. lots of salsa contiments, fresh too. This is truly authentic mexican. they serve several mexican dishes, the usual suspects, tacos, burritos, taquittos etc. you won't be disappointed. The place is also packed during lunch. get there before 11.45 am for best service. Their staff is a very cheerful team. Parking is plenty. Will definitely go back. Their prices for value are the best. For that much food + drink, tax included, you would pay under $10. Real value.
(5)Martin D.
Walked in and appearance wasn't much but the food was delicious I wanted shrimp tacos bit weren't in the menu and they made them they were amazing, and my wife had the caldo de res and she loved it great place and great service Lil mom and pops..
(4)Cyndi S.
I would say both positive and negative reviews are pretty accurate to a point. The food is good, it's pretty authentic and comforting. I ordered an asada burrito, I was happy to find that the rice, beans were all good and fresh. The meat wasn't full of fat (as some places are) and everything was nicely prepared and seasoned. The salsa bar is in the back and I must say that the salsas are very-very good. They are by no means canned salsa, you can taste it. Food wise, the positive reviews are correct about that, the food is very well worth the trip, the prices are low and the portions are fulfilling and some. The customer services... I have to agree that it is slow. I walked in (my first time here) and I just got a blank look from the cashier, or so who I thought was the cashier. There was a tall white man having a loud on going conversation about his travels and the parties and he had the staff engaged. I was confused as to where do I order because no one greeted me or directed me as to where to go. I finally saw a little paper sign saying order here first... or maybe it was pay here... something like that. My order was taken and I have a feeling the guy may have said that the salsas are in the back. He mumbled it so fast I honestly don't even know what he said for certain. My overall thought about the place: I'd go back for the food but I know I should expect amazing service. I'd be a little iffy about eating it, it wasn't filthy but it could definitely be cleaner. Would I recommend it? Yes, I'd say just this: It's a hole in the wall but it's probably best to order to go. My rating is solely for the food.
(4)Wayne L.
Had a friend names Danny that works here. Throughout the times, I got to know his dad, and the whole kitchen is cool. If you haven't come here yet,.. You're sleepin... Bombest hortchata ever. Homebrewed fresh everyday. I say better than guisados. Yeah I said it. Customer service top notch. Many many regulars. Just come before 2pm of the hortchata will be gone and you'll cry over your crappy Albert tacos fountain cinnamon toast crunch milk left over shit tasting.... I'll stop now my food has arrived.
(5)Ceaz M.
I've been ordering food from this place for the last few months by phone. Seems they need training on customer service. My Boss didn't believe me until he placed his own order. After a few minutes he changed his mind and decided to call back and change an item on his order. The man taking his order said he couldn't change the order because it was already being made. The Belinda's employee went on to say in an elevated and excited tone, "what am i suppose to do with the food? throw it away!?" "no i cant change your order!". My boss had him on laud speaker, and everyone in the office heard the guy. My boss turns to me and asked me, "do you like McDonald's food?" I said, "no", he then said, "why are they so successful?. I'll tell you why" he said. "customer service and marketing, its not the food! So now, can you please get me lunch at McDonald's." Train your people Belinda's, or you'll never grow from that whole your in. Clean the ceilings by the way. Not for me because I wont be going back, but for all those that may not thing that all that dust may not fall in their food while they eat, look up! Clean up the place.
(1)Pippi D.
Every time I get a craving for chile rellenos and I'm too lazy to make them myself I head over to Belinda's. Located in a strip mall at Valley View and Orangethorpe, Belinda's is a must-eat-to-believe kind of place. The cooks are two older women, and as many times as I have been to this place, they are always there. Of course I usually only see their backs, but I assume they're the same ladies. The restaurant itself is small, with booths on one side, tables in the middle and banquet seating on the other side, two flat screens with whatever sports or news is on, and a jukebox next to the salsa bar. Walk up, place your order and grab a table. I have never been in this place when there wasn't someone else eating, waiting for a to-go order or just finished and getting ready to leave. As I said, my meal is usually chile rellenos and I always get two. They're made with pastilla chiles stuffed with cheese and come with rice, beans, choice of flour or corn tortillas, sauce, extra cheese and sour cream and chips. I get the toppings on the side because I usually get take out and grab a few little cups of salsa from the salsa bar. If I'm lucky there will be pickled carrots, but most of the time they're gone. I know I need to try something besides the chile rellenos, but my resolve always fails as soon as I walk up to place my order.
(4)Bob T.
This place is a keeper. When we go to Sunrise Café which we like a lot, we noticed that the Mexican food place is always busy so we decided to try it. We got the last two seats available. We ordered the carne asada burrito, cocido and chips with beef n cheese. Quantities were huge and taste was great and prices were really reasonable. Also, the workers here were fantastic. Very friendly and very attentive. Couldn't ask for anything more!
(5)Steve S.
I'm a refried bean snob. I love Mexican food, just not the beans they put on almost everything. Don't get me wrong, I love beans. Heck. I love pork & beans in a can (i grew up on them) lol. Belinda's might have change that. The refried beans here are so good. I'm almost sure some sort of pork product or by product is involved, it's so tasty. I got some taquitos for my son. The order came with 3 chicken taquitos, guacamole, sour cream rice & you've got it, refried beans. First of all, the taquitos were very good. Fried perfectly crisp and the chicken was very tasty. Everything was being consumed except the beans. Typical at this household, the wife is a refried bean snob as well. Some beans happened to have spilled on to a taquito & that happened to be the one for me. I wipe most of it out and took a bite. Whoa. That tasted good. So I dip it in the beans again, yap the refried beans made the taquito taste better. I end up eating all the refried beans using the tortilla chips when the taquito was gone. Delicious. We also got some tacos: Al Pastor is very good. Porky, barbecue(y) goodness. This ones a winner. Chorizo is good as well. I alway get chorizo con huevos whenever possible, so I knew I would like this. Chicken, surprisingly I liked it. The chicken was super tasty. I'd order this again. They gave us some chips and salsa, which were very good. The place itself was small, but clean. They had two flat screen tv on the wall. Service was very friendly & helpful, even though the phone was ringing off the hook and the place had about 12 customer for one waitress. She was it, took phone orders, table orders, bus tables and was the cashier. She was great. What did I learn: I really don't dislike refried beans, I dislike BAD refried beans and Belinda's has a great refried beans. I'll definitely be back.
(4)Nick B.
Worst dinning experience I've had in a while, can't believe this place had four stars. Word of advice, don't leave your dinning guests unattended and then have the second waitress try to serve you tacos you ordered for dinner half way through your guests meal. Good luck
(1)David C.
Came in with a party of 6 at 9:30am on a Sunday. There was 3 tables seated when we got here and had to ask for service. When the lady came to the table (who looked more Hispanic than me) she couldn't speak Spanish to my parents. They wouldn't serve my sister from the kids menu since she isn't under 12 and wouldn't do substitutions. When everything was ordered it took 30 minutes for the food to come and it didn't all come out at once. There was about a 10 minute wait from when the first plate came out to when we were all served. The manager (or owner) came out and took care of us after the second plate came out and pushed the servers and cooks to get on it. The food was great. But the service is abysmal.
(3)Amy T.
My husband and I love mexican food and saw this place that's by work that had really good ratings. Decided to try it Friday night at about 7pm. We ordered to go and proceeded to wait with a few others in front of us for to go as well. I ordered a nacho, 2 soft taco plate and an asada torta. As the people who dined in started leaving I figured ok maybe 10 mins, then 20 mins passes and I asked the guys waiting with us if it always took this long they said yes. the guys in front finally got their food but for us after 30 mins of waiting for 3 items to go we went up to the cashier and there was so much confusion with food tickets and there were maybe only 5-6 tables left in the restaurant who have all received their food. Some of which came in before us. When they finally got our 3 simple plates, it was 40 mins later. I have never waited 40 minutes with that kind of bad service and we've eaten at so many mom and pop restaurants from LA to OC. No apology nothing. I was very disappointed with the service although the food was nothing to tell mom about. I think what really turned me off was as we were grabbing our to go bag, there was water just dripping in a steady stream out of the roof right in front of the cashier and serving counter dripping onto dirty plates that haven't been put away yet. It looked like some kind of run off and was quite gross. Sorry I just can't vouch for this place.

5 stars! gets little packed but the food is great! and customer service is seriously top notch! HOT SAUCE is frikkin good!
(5)Lace P.
waahhh I love this place! I love the posole so yummy and good, each and every time ive ordered it. Caldo de res is off the hook, I love how the waitress gives you a side of rice without asking :} its a nice touch when you get chips and salsa while waiting for your food (especially when the salsa is sooo good) staff is super friendly and hardworking, this spots a winner in my book. just wish it was open late :( lol
(5)David A.
Mine, bacon avocado and cheese omelet w white toast. Hers, eggs bacon potatoes and crepes. Eggs over medium. Confusion on the order. Waitress asked if we wanted pancakes or toast... Toast I guess (she meant crepes). Waitress came by again to clarify and we said no on the toast. It came out with toast. GF asked for no cheese on hers (diet thing). Mine came out without cheese. Regardless, my omelet was good and covered with bacon (even without the cheese). One of her two eggs was over medium. The other was over hard. Tip is not to confuse the waitress. I thought our order was simple, but it threw her.... I may be back, but ask for a different waitress.
(3)Mike R.
This place is awesome. A bit small but oh well. They always have 2 different combinations of aguas frescas alomg witj the traditional horchata and they don't hesitate to give you free refills. The food has always been delicious, employees have always been nice and quick to take our order. Kids eat everything on their plate. Almost 5 stars. Real food.
(4)Daft G.
This is literally a hole in the wall, but the food is out of this world. Let me start by saying the portions are enough for two persons. Unique flavores to well known dishes but the style mixes wonderfully in your mouth. You have to try the fruit drinks they offer. Customers will literally make a line for those drinks alone. Can be a bit more pricey than your typical Mexican restaurant joint but then you have to also consider the great service they offer. The guys working here trip over themselves as they cater to your every need. Its not super well known but this place is always busy from loyal customers they have so if you go and don't tell anyone I won't judge you. It's my hole in the wall gem. Shhh!
(5)Kathy L.
Mm mm mmm! Grabbed a quick lunch here today when I was craving tacos. Got 3 al pastor tacos with rice and beans for less than $10. Comes with free chips and salsa too, oh yeahh. Chips were perfect too- thin, crunchy, just the right amount of salt, not too oily. The tacos were on point too, with super flavorful meat and plenty of it. I was pretty stuffed and honestly could've just gotten their taco platter which comes with 2 tacos for less than $8. My only (very tiny) qualm IF I'm being super picky would be I might prefer if the tortillas were a little more toasted. But it seriously is such a minor thing and they are so good as they are. Will definitely return to satisfy future taco cravings, and I also want to try their other items 'cause everything looked good!
(4)Marie L.
Best tacos al pastor and aguas frescas! It is a small place and is busy for most of the day.
(4)Cindy P.
Their food was pretty good...i liked their tacos.this place is really small and packed most of the times.

Would I travel from Northern California to Southern California just for a good bowl of Pozole? Yes and I do everytime I am close to Belinda's in Buena Park. The food here is outstanding as the people that serve you. A Family Taqueria, Belinda's offers a wide variety of Authentic Mexican Food. The prices are most reasonable and if you can't stay and eat, they make sure you have plenty for when you get to your home or hotel. I truly stop here at least twice a month while in the Southern California area. Not stopping to try their outstanding home cooked food would be a regret you will carry for a long time. A MUST !!!! Thanks for a great meal once again.
(4)Leilani K.
First time here. Cashier was so unpleasant and rude. Ordering for a family of 5 and she was very unhelpful and threw a lot of attitude for double checking to make sure she got the order correct. Pictures for tacos show radish and onions and cilantro and lime, but when confirming the condiments, she said it is 69 cents for each request. Don't know if the food will be good, but I def won't be back due to her poor customer service.
(1)BW A.
I agree that sometime the service can leave something to be desired as far as being slow. However, they have a great and friendly attitude with customers. The place may not look that appealing. Those are the only bad points against this place. This is the place our family goes for Mexican food. They make and serve typical Mexican food. Carnitas , carne asada, pollo, lengua anthing they make it. They do American breakfast food also. They make two fresh juices everyday that are delicious. I love nopales and they always have it and they make it the way I like it. Hole in the wall places are always the best.

Something about this place that keeps me coming back. the always have a consistent lunch crowd from a lot of the businesses in that area. they have TV's to entertain you while you wait. Most of those guys seem to have worked with each other for a long time so the service is very smooth. For me, the best part is the free chips and salsa. I always say I"m going to have just a few, but I always end up eating the whole basket. I like a lot of their dishes, but I always end up sticking to their 3 tacos plate. I'm sure a lot of the items as good as well, just need to go a few more times and order something else. Definitely recommend, no complaints.

Got some posole this morning. Great food, REALLY BAD SERVICE!! Would have giveno more stars if the service was better.
(3)Yesenia M.
Nothing ruins a new restaurant experience than a rude waitress. The food was amazing, on point, everything was so fresh and delicious. I gave it a one star because the girl taking care of us was so rude. We ordered and she dropped our plates off & didn't return and asked if we needed anything. I had to get up and ask for more sour cream, water, and coffee.
(1)Joe S.
Very legit mexican joint. The $1.50 tacos can't be beat - I get the steak (carnita) taco. I tried the others but still liked the steak the best. The salsas are great and fresh. You serve up what you want. **They don't have the taco special anymore that is listed in an earlier Yelp review.
(4)Monica T.
If you are like me I crave Mexican food...a lot. It's California so you know you're going to get some legit places! I was going to eat lunch with my friend (who I haven't seen in a while) & we both decided let's eat some Mexican food. She also just so happens to be Mexican. I knew I had to find a legit place because I wasn't going to settle for a shitty place. So like the Yelper that I am, I took to Yelp to see what places were decent. I came across Belinda's Authentic Mexican Food. I read the reviews, went over the menu, saw the pictures and decided "Hey! This looks legit." Met up with my friend at the restaurant and sat down at a table. A waiter came and greeted us with complimentary chips and salsa. Really good chips and salsa! Except the salsa was a little spicy for me (I'm weak when it comes to spice). The waiter came back and took our order. I order pisole because I have heard so much about it and I never really got the chance to try it so I finally went for it. My friend ordered this lamb or ox stew? I forgot. Waited a while for our food because there were a lot of people. Even though I was really hungry, I didn't mind because I got the chance to catch up with my friend. Our food finally arrived & HOLY SHIT THE PISOLE WAS HUGE! The bowl was filled to the top with soup & about the size of my head. I knew I wasn't going to be able to finish it. My friend got her stew and it was just as big as my bowl of pisole. This place does not rip you off of the soup I'm telling you. First sip of my pisole was delicious! It's like comfort food & getting to add the onions, cabbage and cilantro was just all kinds of yum. My friend said her stew tasted just like her moms and you know if a Mexican says that about a Mexican restaurant, you know the place is legit. We both couldn't finish our meal so we took it to go. If you want legit Mexican food, come here because the food is damn good!
(5)Joohee K.
Ordered an asada burrito to go and my friend got a breakfast burrito to go. Both times were disappointing. By far the greasiest burritos we've ever had. Not to mention how rude some of the workers are. Note to the staff: just because it's noisy on your end of the phone doesn't mean it is for the person on the you're speaking to. "I can't fucking hear this bitch" great customer service. Not to mention the older gentleman who said he hates people using their cards.. If you turned away every customer who used their card do you think you'd still be in business?
(1)Monique S.
Their food is what gets the 4 stars!!! Their "customer service" or lack there of I should say.. These women are so damn RUDE!!! I mean, it's mind blowing that they get away with acting and treating the customers the way they do?! Horrible!!! Just HORRIBLE!!!!
(4)Melissa L.
The place was crazy packed lol so maybe that is why my order was messed up. Will try the breakfast burrito next time!!
(3)Lila V.
Belinda's was a great place for food...unfortunately their service has diminished. We waited an hour after placing our order and watched everyone else get served. The manager and servers didn't care and asked us to keep waiting. It's one thing to be busy and another to be rude. We finally left. Terrible experience and will never go back.
(1)Kristi D.
Looked up Mexican restaurant for lunch and read great things. Arrived to a packed house luckily a table opened up as we walked in. Very small place clean. Great staff. Guys working the counter and serving were very friendly. Took the time to make sure you had what you needed. Even though they were extremely busy. Food was really good. Well seasoned meat. Wonderful beans. I had the carnitas and pollo tacos. My husband had chili verde plate. Salsas also good. Will most certainly return.
(5)Charlotte L.
Authentic amazing food and always excellent service! My husband loves the lengua tacos and menudo. I love their carnitas tacos and cheese enchiladas. They make thee best red sauce! Their agua fresca watermelon /pineapple drink is the best! Very nice people and excellent food you cannot go wrong!!
(5)Candace V.
It was my first time there. And i was not satisfied at all. Me and my friend were waiting 1 hr. Just for 2 tacos, menudo and a breakfast plate??!!!! The gurl that was working there she was so rude. One of the workers saw that we were waiting for a long time and he gave us some chips and salsa on the house. When he did that ,that same chick got so mad we over heard her telling the guy that served us chips to not serve us anymore cuz we ordered take out and only the customers that eat there get chips and salsa. It was horrible. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT THAT WAITRESS TO BE RUDE TO YOU!!!
(1)Tiff Z.
Love their tacos and hot sauce!! I wish they had a taco truck right next to my house for my late night taco cravings! (Cabeza and lengua are super tasty and soft!) Also, if you're ever looking for a taco guy to cater your event, they are it! We catered for my sons 1st bday and it was excellent! We got to choose three meats and chose asada, pollo, and vegetarian (bc some of our guests were veggie eaters) and I thought we might be missing out on another meat choice but I loved their veggie option!! It was potatoes and zucchini and other stuff I can't remember. Plus the asada was super tasty that everyone raved about their asada quesadillas bc that was THE best item on the taco menu at the party. I'm still drooling over it as I write this review. My husband loved them! You have to come here to try their tacos and use their taco man!!
(5)Rebecca M.
Pass! Food is not the best. Inside is filthy and crowded. They have watermelon and melon beverage in huge crocks sitting next to the register. However they are not covered, very unsanitary. I ordered cheese enchalads. The enchalads were cold and dry and burned on the bottom with hardly any sauce. My husband ordered pozole and really enjoyed it. I believe this is what probably keeps them in business. They had 4 waitresses and not once did one of them come to refill our beverage. Horrible service. I would suggest a visit from the health department is needed.
(1)Sally L.
Food is yummy here! Only tried pozole, menudo, huevos rancheros, and pina so far but plan on coming back to try more of their menu. Actually waiting for togo... :) this place is great for authentic mexican food with mexican music/tv in spanish. I recommend!!! Minus one star for reaaaaallly lonnnnnggggggg waiiiittttt
(4)Lesa M.
We went for dinner tonight as a friend recommends this place. I was less than impressed with my cheese enchilada dinner plate. They were dry like frozen/thawed and had no taste or feel of cheese....tasteless...My husband had the shredded beef tacos and swears that the shells were the store bought already cooked ones. He too was not happy. We will not be returning but will be taking our friend to Los Sanchez in Garden Grove where the food is always great.
(2)Angie F.
My boyfriend and I come here as much as we can. It's our favorite place for Mexican food in Buena Park. We've tried many dishes, including chicken enchiladas, carne asada burritos, rolled taquitos, pozole, carne asada nachos, huevos rancheros... some of our favorites are the chile rojo plate, chile verde plate (spicy, but good!), the wet chile verde burrito, and queso fundido (hot, melted cheese; we order it with chorizo). Can you tell we really like this place?? Everyday they make delicious aguas frescas (1 free refill). They usually have 2 flavors made and they only make one batch of each so I like to go in the morning or early afternoon because they can run out pretty quickly. Belinda's gets five stars because of their amazingly yummy food and great customer service. I have no complaints. :-)
(5)Caleb G.
Went today, saw it when I went to sunrise cafe and wanted to try it out. Very small place with a few tables. I had their tostada salad, and it was incredible!!! Huge chunks of grilled peppers and onions. Everything tasted fresh and the prices are reasonable. Its a place I'd definitely go back to, and its really worth checking out if you are in the area.
(4)Elizabeth U.
I enjoy Belinda's Mexican food! All the meats are flavorful and fresh. There are plenty of people who swing by to eat here. I think the best thing to order is al pastor tacos and burritos. The meat is tender and full marinade flavor. I also like the carnitas. Very tender and chopped into bite sized chunks. The tacos are $1.50 but you get a lot of meat on a double layered tortilla. It is best to call in your order for take-out. Although their staff is attentive, the wait for food can take a long time. Last Friday I called in for a big order of al pastor tacos. The guy took my order and told me that it will be a 30 minute wait. When I arrived, the cashier lady told me that they ran out of al pastor meat. I was so bummed! They could have told me earlier, or called me about it. Whatta bummer! I ended up getting chicken, carne asada and carnitas...all delicious! All things considered, I still like their tacos and burritos!
(3)Glenn P.
Worst dining experience EVER! We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes and no food...then when we ask they have the gall to ask us how my son wanted his eggs. The so called manager was totally unsympathetic which made the situation even worse! DO NOT GO HERE! PATHETIC EXCUSES AND BUSINESS SENSE!
(1)Michelle N.
I came one morning craving for posole. So when I came in it was pretty busy. I had a look of the menu and they had a variety of literally EVERYTHING, had me thinking twice about the posole. So I ordered chilaquiles and posole. The gentleman in front was so nice that he wasn't rushing us to order or anything. I told him it was my first time here, and he told me to keep a menu so if I come back I can order ahead a time and pick it up. As I was waiting I went to the salsa bar and they had everything. 3 diff types of salsa, jalapeños, lime, cilantro, and radishes. I took the food to go. And once I got home I was ready to demolish everything. The posole was amazing!!!! Not as good as my moms but close enough. So now I know when in craving posole that I can come here. The chilaquiles were mediocre. Kind of a bit soggy but I guess because i took to go. But other than that everything was good.
(4)Shaun K.
We hit this place at least once a week. Good food long wait at lunch so call your order in before lunch rush. Food is good these people are busy so i don't take them as rude just trying to service a bunch of customers food. Then get kind of funny when you try to order large amounts of food for office parties. But dot pass this place up if you need your Mexican food fix like i do :) Pozole is great here...
(5)Monica C.
Can't get enough of this Mexican food. My co workers and I always eat here. No matter what day of the week it is they are always packed during lunchtime. But it is so worth it. When you order a ceviche tostada they give you enough for 2. The Menudo and pozole are delicious too. And the agua frescas are oh so good.
(5)May V.
Today I went to crappy Belinda's Mexican food with crappy service and ordered 6 tacos well done. The meat was not well done at all amd it was full of fat. I asked for my money back nicely and they refused. Very horrible. The food was not touched at all. I just wanted my money back. Btw happy birthday to me. I do not recommend this place. The big woman is rude as they come. Fuck that place.
(1)Michelle L.
I was here yesterday and ordered the mojarra frita. The waitress told me it would be a few before I got it, but I would not regret it. I observed how busy this place gets on a Friday afternoon. There was always a line ordering food and every table was filled. A little boy behind the counter was helping clean glass and was also busy with his new soccer shirt. It really appeared as a family operated and ran business. Surprisingly I was very comfortable here and enjoyed it very much! The food was out of the ball park excellent and it was good. I will definitely come back!
(4)Brianna G.
Okay so I was first introduced to this place by my (at the time) pregnant sister. She was craving it all the time. Lucky for her she lives down the street. So I finally tried it out and now I know what she means. The price is fair the food delicious and the portions huge! I'm not even a big Mexican food fan to start off with ... I got the bean and cheese burrito enchilada style with red sauce and I know most of u are thinking how do u mess up a burrito? Trust me you can! But it was delicious its almost enough for two meals or one meal if its the only thing you ate that day ;) lol. I highly recomment this place everyone that I know that lives near it knows of it and rants and raves and now I'm one of them! Its just so good. The cheese on my burrito was yummy and goey and the red house sauce is perfect! Just the right amount of flavoring and thickness in my opinion. They also make their own chips here so the chips are fresh and so tasty. Definetly referring everyone here!

I decided to try this place because I pass it up so many times and well, I'm glad I walked it. It turns out My friend throughout elementary/middle school/high school works here and this is his dad's place. Carne asada wet burrito with half red/half green sauce - SO GOOD. I was scared the burrito would be loaded up with more beans than meat but it was the perfect balance of meat, beans, rice, etc. The green sauce had just the right amount of kick (if you're looking for something really spicy this may not cut it.) and the red sauce had a nice smokey flavor to it. I only managed to eat 1/4 of it since I was eating the chips, salsa, & beans the whole time. I'm not a huge fan of mexican rice and beans because every single time I have had them they just taste the same to me. But this place has really good rice and really good beans. My brother is a fan of wet burritos so I let him try a bite and he was surprised at how good it was considering there was beans (he doesn't really like beans). He immediately asked me where this place is. OVERALL: I can see this place as my new go-to local spot for feel good mexican food. Like I always say, YOU WON'T KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!
(5)Joey P.
Great authentic Mexican food for a reasonable price. I have 3 tacos special and an order of shrimp ceviches for under $10! Good portion, flavor is top notch, and the family that serves and possibly owned the place is great. Highly recommend this place if you're craving for Mexican food.
(5)Maya S.
I love Belinda's, not only for the excellent and affordable food, but for their awesome customer service! Their tiny restaurant is always busy but every time I've been there I've been greeted with a smile and served quickly. My extra favorite reason to give them 5 stars is because I was looking for Agua Fresca to serve at a party I was having. Esteban and Gilbert set me up! They offered to make any flavor I wanted and promptly had it ready for me. I left a deposit for the jugs and my friends and family LOVED the mango passion fruit and strawberry watermelon agua fresca. Thank you, Belinda's!!
(5)Gary M.
Okay so this is a very good hole in the wall spot. My little family came here on our way back from Anaheim for breakfast. The food was actually really good and the place was crowded. I would really suggest trying their crepes because it was soft and flavorful with crispy not burnt edges. The potatoes were good and the rest of my bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. This place gets crazy packed so give yourself time to eat or call it in before you come. The staff and the kitchen did have some fumbles that morning but I am used to eating at small places like this and it was nothing that they weren't gracious to fix. The only thing that happened with our order was a couple of pancakes took a while to come out but when they did we were all pretty stuffed. I felt bad for the girls waiting on people because a family behind us was crazy rude because they forgot to bring a water and a plate to their table but the girls were walking around the ten tables the whole time and they were so into their conversation that they never stopped to remind them. Finally after complaining for twenty minutes under their breath the girl came to check on them and then they decided to ask for the items sarcastically. But the waitress was still very professional so kudos to her, but people need to come down to reality when they eat at a small spot with limited staffing. Anyways my wife and I are determined to return and try their menudo or posole that everyone seemed to be ordering. If the posole is nearly as good as the breakfast I know it will be worth the drive.
(5)Roxanne B.
I come here often for lunch and you must have their home made juice!! The Dad of the two guys who always takes my order makes it every morning. I love their tacos and burritos~ BOMB!!! I recommend this to all my friends and its pretty authentic!!
(4)Jessica G.
Love love love the food. Chips with salsa was so yummy there strawberry lemonade is fresh and home made. And there asada tacos was delicious. My husband had the Menudo he said it was so tasty and very fresh.
(5)Susan C.
Watermelon cucumber aguas frescos is bomb :)
(4)Ritz G.
The food's quality is so good! Very fresh, and above all authentic. The place is kept very clean & they have fast and friendly service! When I went during lunch they were very busy but I received my food promptly. I was sooo pleased with the tastiness! Keep it up Belinda's :-)
(5)Yesika L.
This place is amazing and has some of the best, authentic Mexican food in Southern California. Gilbert is great and gives excellent customer service. Their ceviche can't be beat!
(5)Kathy P.
This place is a hidden gem! I absolutely love their aguas frescas they are to die for! I usually get their chorizo hard shell tacos with rice and beans. That is my favorite! Many places have good tacos but their rice and beans are ok, but I must say that this place has really good rice and beans as well! One of my fave spots!
(5)Lauren M.
I've been led astray again. What happened, Yelp? I came here last night with my boyfriend to experience some authentic and delicious Mexican food. We wanted to try something new and we were waiting to be wowed. There was only one other party sitting in the restaurant and one worker watching the TV on his break. We went up to the register and she asked us if it was to go or if we were eating here. We decided to eat there and she said, "Okay, I'll bring menus to your table." Nice touch. We had a few minutes to scope the place out, and it seems a little dated. We just hoped they put a lot more love and attention into their food than they do the look of the place. They brought around all you can eat chips and salsa, and those were pretty darn good. The salsa had a nice spice to it, and the chips were nice and crunchy. Now to the main dishes... My boyfriend got the combo plate that had two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, and I ordered the three chicken taquitos with rice and beans. Meh. That's how we both felt with our dishes. His cheese enchiladas were so small, and he said that he has had better. The rice and beans were decent, though. My taquitos were okay, I've had better elsewhere. The guacamole that was served with my dish was AWESOME, though. I wish I could take a huge tub of that home with me. Final verdict? It's alright. It's average. I'd skip this place if I passed it again. We really wanted to like it, we really did. It just didn't live up to our expectations or this high review average. I'll stick to Los Alazanes or Tacos San Pedro. Reviews for those are up if you want to check them out!
(2)Randi B.
Awesome little hole in the wall Mexican place! Had a late breakfast/early lunch here with my co-worker. We were greeted by some of the friendliest people I have ever encountered at a restaurant - these guys were super funny and nice. I would come back just to see them again! I ordered a Machaca plate and my co-worker ordered a three taco plate. We asked for sodas, but the man working encouraged us to try his juices - he gave us some free samples. One was Spinach Pineapple, tasted more like pineapple, and the other was Three Melons - watermelon, honeydew melon, and cantaloupe. Delish! We got some of those instead of soda. Total for two large plates of food and two yummy juices was only $16. Great deal! Chips and salsa were brought to our table, loved the salsa, it had a nice kick to it. The food was out right away. Loved my machaca, the meat was tender and had a great flavor. Their rice and beans were also really good. They constantly checked to make sure we were doing okay. They refilled our juices, and even gave us to go cups so we could take them home. I am never in Buena Park, but I would actually drive out of my way to come here - especially for that delicious juice!
(4)Rachel E.
Excellante!!! Fresh tortillas. Generous coctels. Banging salsa. Aguas frescas. Friendly service. Very reasonably priced.
(4)D S.
I've been a fan of this place since have used and referred these people numerous times. Until now - spoke to Gilbert first and he said to have someone call next day and set up a appointment to setup menu and pay deposit. The next day and weeks after we got run around about when he comes in and when to come or call to set up a deposit. Now they say they are booked and it's first come first serve and that anyone can take deposit money. We were never told proper information and nor is it professionally handled when I called they didn't show any concernwith customer satisfaction. I definitely will no longer recommend this place for anything other then unprofessional and unethical service they give along with wrong information! Go to Soho Taco instead they are fantastic !

We arrived an hour before closing -- which was 8:00 p.m.! The female cashier was patient and friendly. You know when employees like to rush customers out of the restaurant right before closing? She was not one of them. I even mentioned that I had moved into the area and she continued to chat with me about from where I moved. Turns out they close at THREE P.M. on Sundays! I have always thought that restaurants that closed early were strange, but then again, something about restaurants with early hours tend to be legit. And when I brought my food home, I was happy to be right! I found salsa cups and a bag of chips in my food bag that I didn't ask for. The Carne Asada of my nachos were juicy and still had a nice char. And I ALWAYS appreciate when they separate the guac and sour cream. My spouse claims that his lengua taco was delicious -- and they were big. The chicken quesadilla was rather small compared to the likes of El Camino Real. Still good though. I'll be returning often.
(5)Elias R.
The location puts you off a little bit because it is in a strip mall type setting. The original reason that I discovered this place was that we were actually going to Sunrise Cafe right next door that has really great yelp reviews. The problem was, that when we arrived, Belinda's was PACKED with people. The local cops were eating there, every table was taken, and it had countless people coming in and out for their takeout orders. Needless to say, we decided to give this place a try. The food was excellent! We had Lengua and Al Pastor tacos that were excellent with plenty of meat in each taco. Then we split a Carne Asada Torta and that was also excellent. I am very pleased with our experience here and the fact that it is so busy is the only reason that it takes a little long for your table to get service and the food to come out. I will definitely be coming back here. Hidden little Mexican Food Gem in Buena Park!
(4)Karina R.
Extra star than they deserve. The extra star is because the cashier girl hard work. Constantly clearing plates giving food and taking orders she seemed stressed out. Food: wet burrito was ok. I was craving shrimp so i got a shrimp taco. A bit steep at 2.50 but i went against my instincts. Taco came out looking nice, but as im looking closer the shrimp are about the size of a quarter. My taco consisted of 3 shrimp and a bunch of lettuce tomatoes and onions. I paid 250 for a salad. I tell the stressed out girl and she said it supposed to have 4 shrimps not 3. What??? You asking for me to pay 250ish for 4 quarter sized shrimps.... Never again
(2)Sandra S.
This is in regards to the service we received today only! The food is great and normally the service is good, not great! Today was a super busy day, so there was no ordering from the tables, we were told by a curly haired waiter that we had to order at the register. We made some playful comments about what a bummer it was and asked for chips please. Well I think we bugged him because we NEVER got chips, but we watched as all around us did for over 20 minutes. I realize that this is not a big deal in the grand scheme, but it feels like a low blow when one, we waited patiently, two we asked for the damn chips nicely and three, we were starving!!!
(1)Ann Marie L.
Have passed by several times and finally stopped to try it out. Ordered the taquito plate and also chile verde plate. There salsa was very good, no complaints about the food. I only wish they had a to go menu to make it easy to phone in. I will try it out again.
(4)Richard L.
Came here today which was scorching hot. Freakin' 100 degrees! Anyway, came for the Wednesday tostada special for $2.94. 6 tostadas came out to $19.18 with tax. First off, it was hot outside and still hot inside and I was sweating while waiting for my order. It was not pleasant at all. I knew I had to phone order ahead but forgot so had to wait for 15-20 minutes! So if you're going to order from here, it is wise to PHONE ORDER especially for take out orders. If you plan on dining in, they give you chips and salsa so you can munch on those while waiting. I sat down, sweat trickling down the side of my head, and one of the servers/employees came and offered chips and salsa. It was a nice gesture because I knew I was in for a wait. Got thirsty and decided to try the juice in a huge clear jug that everyone was getting. There were 2 flavors. Melon and mango. Got the melon and it was worth the $2.45 for a large cup and 1 free refill. It had ICE and was cold! It wasn't too overly sweet and had that melon flavor perfect for a hot summer/fall day. I drank 1 cup while waiting and got a refill on the go. Tostadas: Came with the foundation, a crispy flat fried piece of tortilla I believe. The meats came after topped with toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, a drizzle of sour cream, and guacamole. It comes with beans, but skipped on that. The chicken was very delicious. Came marinated and had lots of flavor which I liked a lot. The carne asada was the standard carne asada, but I'm going to try more of the chicken dishes next time. Just remember to phone order ahead if you don't like waiting.

Danny & Jose your cooking is da bomb !!!!! AWESOME LOVE THE FRESCA AND ASADA TACOS !!! Made our trip extra special stopping by this little gem ! Will definitely return ; ))'

Good food, great tacos, and very good soup, small please ,hole in the wall but worth tring.
(5)Nestor O.
Food a little above average. HORRIFIC SERVICE!!! My first time there I went alone and ordered pozole. It shouldn't take long since it's a soup that needs to be prepared ahead of time since it takes at least 3 hours to cook. It took about 25 minutes for the soup to be served. I noticed there was only one waitress for 9-11 tables, but things happen; someone could've called in sick. Well, I decided to try this place again with my gf on a Sunday afternoon. The first visit's horrific service was no fluke. It took 20 min for anyone to greet us. Another 10 to get chips. When salsa ran out no one brought us any extra. We ordered "queso fundido" as an appetizer which MUST be accompanied and eaten with tortillas. It wasn't. By the time the tortillas were brought out the cheese had hardened. Our main courses were brought out 10 minutes apart. We never got the much desired salsa. The tortillas that accompany the Chicken Mole came too early this time. They were basically cold when I finally got my entree. To top it all off, I asked for additional warm tortillas when I finally got my Chicken Mole. and sure enough there was an extra charge for them. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yum! This defines hole-in-the-wall, but it's excellent. We ended up in this part of town for work, and my coworker found Belinda's on her phone. Four stars seemed promising, so we gave it a shot. Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially with a combo. I had three enchiladas, rice and beans for about $7. The red sauce was some of the best I've had. My coworkers both had taco plates and raved about them-- they're simple, with just some onion and cilantro, but apparently delicious. Their chips and salsa were great as well; the salsa has the kind of heat that builds up on you instead of burning all at once. They had some interesting (nonalcoholic) drink offerings too-- one had lime, pineapple and chia seeds, and was incredibly refreshing. The line got LONG around 12:30 or so, so Belinda's definitely isn't a secret. And for good reason. If I ever end up in this part of town again for some reason, I'd definitely go back!
(4)Katrina N.
This gets my OBSESSED STAMP! I finally found a restaurant name that doesn't lie!! It truly is authentic and REALLY GOOD. I had the carne asada tacos + pastor combo and devoured the whole thing. I didn't want to drench with their salsa cause the flavor of the meat was damn good. We also ordered the staple chips + Guac (cause it's not a complete meal without an appetizer ha.) and the guac tasted fresh and not watered down like other places. The only thing i was confused about were the chips. There's ones that you get with your combo orders which was totally different from the ones we ordered the guac with. The ones that come with the order tastes like puffy tacos yumminess but the other ones were just meh. So not sure why they;re different but i'd rather go with the deep fried puffy freebie than the tostitos tasting one. Place is a bit small and gets packed quick specially during busy hours. If you call your order in, you have to practically yell it out so the lady hears you. But things like that don't really bother me if it means i get my food sooner! They also have a salsa bar so go and get your sauces on!
(4)Lynette H.
The food was GREAT. Highly recommend the guacamole; it had a great flavor and there were chunks of avocados in it. The chips could have been fresher, but the guac more than made up for it. The enchiladas plate is excellent. Great sauce, well put together, and delicious with the beans and rice. I know Mexican food is good when the rice and beans stand alone, but even the lettuce was great! Usually it sits on the side of the plate as a wilting decoration, but here it was crisp and fresh. My friend got the fish tacos and had similar feelings about its deliciousness. The service left a lot to be desired. We walked in, were not seated and so chose our own table, did not get a menu so I went to the front to ask for it. There was only 1 waitress working and she kept disappearing into the kitchen. When we finished, we waited a buy before I got up to ask for a to go box and the check. Despite the service, the food was well worth it. Will definitely be going again.

found this place on google. we really enjoyed our meal. I had fish tacos which were good. my husband had the chile verde which he said was delicious. we thought it was good prices and good service. we would go again.

Wow. I would give zero stars if possible. I wanted to like this place so badly because there's not much good Mexican places in the area. First timers, my Mother's Day dinner and I wanted to try the chile verde because it looked so good in the posted pics. Started off with stale chips. I looked passed that. The rice was too salty, like they were trying to make up for lack of flavor. Beans were fine. Salsas were uninspiring. But the chile verde. Omg. The pork was so overcooked I could not break it down in my mouth to swallow it and just had to spit it out. I cannot describe the taste of the verde salsa w/o saying acidic. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but You know that taste in the back of your throat after you throw up? Yes. That is the flavor. What disappointed me more was that after explaining to the staff it wasn't good and we didn't want to eat it they insisted it was good and everyone loves it and made us pay for it and cursed my husband out after we asked to not pay. We calmly left and will never go back. Bad business model.

AUTHENTIC Mexican Food. It is right there in its name! Belinda's serve up really savory food and you definitely get your moneys worth from this place. Their food is freshly made and they are pretty quick to deliver as well. Belinda's also has different flavors of agua frescos and a free refill with every purchase. Recently I had the shredded beef nachos and it was delicious. Their staff is also friendly immediately greeting you as you walk up to the counter to order. The downside to Belinda's you ask? You got me..
(4)Leslie A.
I haven't ate their food yet but their customer service is incredible, and I think that's enough to say that their food will be great.
(5)Lee C.
Not a bad place to check out. Worth a visit and a second or third. The salsa is awesome and the carnitas are a must try.
(4)Brenda E.
Place is clean but service is terrible and slow. The 2 girls at the counter were so bothered every time we asked for something, even my 8 year old commented on it. The tacos al pastor were more fat than meat. The Asada tacos were ok, and my kids enjoyed their breakfast plates. We ended up paying about $15, but due to the lack of good service we will not be back.
(3)Anthony G.
Let's start with the chips and salsa, the salsa is delicious. You can taste and see that they roast the Chile's which gives it a great taste. They have fresh horchata, not some watered down stuff from a machine and its also great. We went with some caldo de res and a torta de carne asada. The meat in both items were delicious. The portions are perfect and very authentic. I'm a happy camper. Do yourself right and treat yourself to Belinda's.
(5)Reiana G.
Can't go wrong with carne asada tacos. The jalapeno salsa is great. Good flavor and right amount of heat.
(4)William S.
Best service, best Mexican tacos, best salsa, best price! Use to go here in 2011. Right around corner from my old apt. Good people!
(5)A A.
First, I love that they have beer! The food there is a little above average. I think it's a little on the saltier side, but thats just my opinion. My husband really liked it. We ordered carne asada, al pastor, chorizo tacos as well as nachos. Will probably come back!
(4)Toni W.
The bombest food ever!!!! Authentic Mexican food at it's finest. Try it I guarantee you'll like it!
(5)Sammy L.
Great food and awesome service! Couldn't be anymore satisfied with mexican food (: I have tried the enchiladas and their breakfast burrito. My boyfriend is out of town and always has to eat here when he comes. Also you get one free refill for mexican drinks that they make which is pretty decent. It does get a bit crowded during lunch time, and wish it was just a bit bigger.
(5)Care B.
The food I'm sure is good but the service is aweful. I don't understand why this establishment can't get it together. The servers seem nice but just may not have the experience. On to my rant! If you run out of something and have to make more of it let the customer know either to A) wait for it or B) order something else but at the very least give the customer the option. The server was nice enough to give me more chips but did not give me any salsa...this is what I'm talking about...common sense! I do hope someone from the restaurant reads this it will only help them in the near future as for this customer I won't be returning with all the "options" out there I'm not going to wait for them to get their act together.
(1)Mike S.
First off the food was great. Ordered asada tacos and the meat was awesome. My son had a burrito and he said it was great. The caldo de res had plenty of meat and veggies but it was made with beef chuck not shank so it tasted different. My family really liked it. Second the place is tiny. I placed an order to go and as I sat waiting I noticed the service really needs some improvements. A table that was left with the guest's trash never got cleaned the entire time I was there which was about twenty minutes. Another was cleaned up by guest's themselves trying to sit for dinner so a worker came up to help them. If I order from here again I will call and pick up. Its faster and you don't have to worry about the small seating.
(3)Chris K.
Awesome food and unique setting, the staff know how to make you feel at home Support your local taqueria !
(5)Win K.
Small excellent mom & pop Mexican place. I got two beef tacos. Excellent. The sauce is nice and spicy. I came here with bunch of my employees. Good portions, and I was full and satisfied. I also loved their specialty drinks made of various fruits. The interior is on the small to medium size and a group of 4-5 should fit just fine. Since it's at a small shopping area, there's good amount of parking available. Friendly service.
(4)Brian P.
This place is good eats. Not much in the BP area for authentic Mexi food but this place is pretty damn good. In a beat up strip mall off of Orangethorpe. I've passed it hundreds of times and then it caught my eye. The food is great along with their chile salsa. Damn good tacos. Strange story. I ordered food and my daughter said her soda was flat. I tried it and it was. So i let the girl know. She said, "Oh, its low on ice" I was thinking ok, there is some sort of language barrier here. She loaded ice in the top of the machine and said okay now try it. I did and it was perfect! What the hell is that all about? Ladies and gentlemen..... that's my Belinda's story.
(4)Brad H.
This place is legit. The food is tasty and the people working there were wonderful. We had breakfast. The portions were more than sufficient.
(4)E E.
Was, in the mood for some local mexican food and pleasantly surprised. Someone mentioned this place to me a couple months back and it was well worth the wait. Carnitas, carne asada, al pastor tacos were bomb but Carnitas was my fave! Chile relleno was flavorful as well. Yum! No complaints AT ALL!
(4)Nicole K.
Dont be tricked by the delicious looking pics like i did. I gave it a one star based on the enchilada combo plate. When i got it everything was cold and the enchilada looked like it was sitting there for hours. I asked them to heat it up, but it just wasn't good. My bro and i went next door to del tacos sigh... Im sad this place was a disappointment. :(
(1)alex d.
This place is perfect for when the Mexican family next door gets cooking and oh man it smells so good, because I like the staff at Belinda's more than I like my neighbors. Great breakfast all day and a beer while you wait earns the 5th star.
(5)Brian S.
Neighbors told us to try this hole in the wall. We are glad we did. My wife loved the enchiladas and I had a burrito. The flavors are great and we will be coming back for more.
(4)Frank M.
Belinda's is a very good hole in the wall type of Mexican restaurant. I work in the area a lot and always tried to avoid it. it seemed dirty or the food would be of low quality. I finally gave in when a coworker decided to come here and he insisted it was good. FINE, ill go. Boy was I wrong. This place is soooo good! They have different Aguas Frescas (hand made flavored drinks) daily such as cucumber, watermelon, pineapple, etc. The food prices are great for the quality food you get. Once you order and pay, you take your drink and take a seat. A waiter then follows up with chips and salsa. Very good Salsa. You dont wait more than 10 minutes for the food! Good Stuff. I love the variety of food. I come here often and will continue. Friendly staff!
(5)Barbara F.
I work down the street and Belinda's is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Once we know someone is going their for lunch, we all pile in and go with that person. Great food and the service is awesome! I love their Enchiladas with shredded beef and green sauce. SO YUMMY!
(5)Jazmin K A.
I will keep it short great food , good prices bad service, i will usually grab to go

Recently moved across the street and happy to find a delicious and authentic Mexican restaurant! We go there regularly and try new things. The menu is enormous but everything we have tried from tacos al pastor, to carnitas and machaca plates to carne asada burritos have all been good. Service is really great and friendly and the prices are really cheap.
(5)L L.
Belinda's always delivers! The food always is excellent and very authentic. The portions are huge and the service is wonderful. I always come here to get my Mexican food fix! The staff is friendly despite being super busy during peak lunch/dinner times. I highly recommend this place. So far I have loved everything that I have tried... The posole and menudo is a must!
(5)Kriss P.
The Skinny on Belinda's *Regular run of the mill mom & pop Mexican joint with no real decor in mind *TV blaring the typical comedy show filled with music & barely dressed Latina ladies *Salsa bar is set out in the dining area for the takin' *Service is spotty due to the flow (one person manning the forefront) *YES, the rice and beans are tasty *Food is better then most places like this *The deep fried whole fish takes forever (about 30 minutes) Belinda's gets patronized by the locals and businessmen & women that work in the area. They have a nice flow of people and I can tell they do fairly well. I'll absolutely be back since I have family nearby that pretty much adores this place for being, as they say, authentic!
(3)Grace K.
Delicious! Belinda's is the best Mexican food in the area that I've tried thus far - and trust me, I've had my share of Mexican food! I've only had the burritos and tacos so far, but they're both great. I actually bought some of their salsa for a Mexican-themed party we were having. They seemed shocked that I wanted the spiciest of their salsas, but I found that it was the perfect almost painfully spicy salsa. Yes, I like spicy.
(5)g n.
Like the tortas very much. Usually crowded on the weekends and HOT inside. Info really appreciate how nice the young people working there are. They are always busy and are always courteous.
(4)Jon S.
I have been doing business in Buena Park recently and I have eaten at Belinda's twice now. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was that they made a mistake with my order the first time. The food is delicious, the salsa is just the right amount of spicy, the guacamole is terrific, and the green sauce is perfectly spiced. They had just made some chips and they were perfect- thin, crisp and excellent. Belinda's is located in a small mini-mall and looks very unassuming. Don't let that throw you- it's quite tasty and worth a visit. The prices are reasonable, too.
(4)Rakhi W.
this place is off the chain. amazing food and service. I can't come here too much because I'm trying to eat healthy i.e. not eat out too much but whenever I can I definitely go here. Their salsas are awesome and the chicken burrito is so tasty.
(5)Gene H.
Kind of a dive but really good quesadillas . Space the place was packed and everybody's food looks good.
(4)Luis S.
This place is awesome!!!! The tacos are so fresh, the meat is tender and its probably the best tripas I've ever had and mind you I HATE tripas. The agua frescas is awesome. The shreeded beef is so juicy and soft(my 10 month old loved it) the lengua is solid tender chunks and the al pastor is that...al pastor, not like all these other places with filler meats. The carnitas are awesome and the chorizo tacos are just perfect, a little crispy and not over done. Even the "thug" was a cool guy....lol he's a good dude, let us stay and eat tacos even though he was about to close. Love this place and I recommend it to all.

Someone wrote me that this restaurant does have a website; THEN LINK IT TO YELP!! lol **I know So Cal can be pretentious but come on. Young people, I know you feel empowered by Yelp because you are giving reviews but you have to read the room. One rates it low because the decor is outdated? Another because the tv was too loud? Another because they don't have facebook and a website? Another because it was just bleh? lol wow To own a business and have young people rip on it when they aren't even old enough to rent a car and have barely started paying their own bills must be frustrating to business owners. These are peoples livelihoods! Anyways. Belinda's is a classic hole in the wall mexican food restaurant. It's got a cult following and for good reason. I'm not into So Cal but I go there for business sometimes and I love to see authentic family run businesses. I had the hard and soft beef tacos along with carne asada. It was fresh and good. The salsa was very spicy and good. I love the fruit drinks. They were refreshing and went well with my meal. Two cops were there and I talked to them and they say it's one of their favorite places to go. It was pretty busy but they were very helpful and kind. I was in a suit so maybe they catered to me because of it but they actually comped me a couple of tacos with the inner lining of the stomach (forget the name) as well as a chorizo taco. They were amazing! Wow; the spices and the marinade of the meat was pretty fantastic. I went in starving but came out so full I could barely move. The prices were beyond reasonable and you can stuff your face for under $10. The people were working hard and I also saw them making a couple of 5 foot burrito's. I guess they are popular with some businesses in the area and cater lunches as well and have take out orders. PRO'S: -great food, authentic, spicy and seasoned well -every meat was marinated well -fruit juices hit the spot. Loved the watermelon one -good parking/in a shopping area -Prices are great -good service and nice people. CON'S: -It's small; I just missed the lunch rush but it was still busy. Usually when it's busy quality of food can go down so I avoid the big rush when I can A very solid place that aims to please. When i am this way again, I know where I'm eating. I plan on having more chorizo! Good stuff.
(4)Tommy L.
I can come to Belinda's everyday for lunch, but that would mean my waistline would expand exponentially. I salivate at the thought of those delicious carnitas and chorizo tacos, mixed in with their homemade spanish rice and refried beans -- all washed down with their freshly-made aqua fresca! That combo in itself is the epitome of culinary divinity. My other recommendation is their taquito combo, crunchy bites with plenty of tender brisket meat in between. Yum!
(5)Jackie P.
Belinda's never disappoints. Have used them quite a few times over the years for their catering truck - food is always a crowd fave. Served fresh and hot and they always serve little extras. Staff are really down to earth and friendly. Know that you need to go in personally to make the arrangements and try to do it off hours as this place gets super busy. Had to pay a little extra as we are all the way in Seal Bch but definitely worth it. I have recommended them to friends multiple times and do so happily.

It was recommended to me to try this place out at some point but I never got to until fairly recently. I went with Duke D. since we were hungry and craving food before he had to go to work; luckily it wasn't during lunch hour which is when I heard that there is a lot of people. One of the first impressions I got when we turned into the plaza where this was located was that it looked dinky; in my mind, that means authentic food. The interior was also looking run-down but that was great because I felt like I would get a good hearty meal out of it. You should note that credit cards are accepted without a surcharge for orders over $10. When we were ordering our meal, we got a choice in terms of drinks. When we stood there slightly undecided, the cashier promptly pulled out tasting cups and had us try the aqua frescas they had for the day. Cantaloupe, watermelon, and a pineapple spinach blend were the flavors, and they were all very delicious. Duke D. ended up choosing the pineapple spinach while I defaulted to horchata. The mix he got wasn't one we expected to see anywhere but it was quite refreshing; the citrus was cut by the spinach I guess. My horchata seemed to need to be filtered more but it was still quite good. We also got complimentary chips and salsa once we sat down (that salsa was hot!). They are apparently well-known for their three taco special so we both got that with variations on each. The first plate had one chicken taco and two carnitas tacos, and the second plate had one carne asada taco and two chorizo tacos. The chicken was good but not all too memorable. What I remember tasting amazing were the carnitas (soft but smoky with lots of flavor and juices), carne asada (tender and full of flavor), and the chorizo (actual chorizo in chunks that were seasoned to perfection). Great tacos and good drinks - I'd come again for sure.
(4)Annette A.
I have visited this restaurant twice. My first visit was great. I choose the asada burrito. The burrito was fat and really good. Service was great and food came out in a flash. So as you can imagine when my honey suggested we stop in for a last minute dinner decision I was ready with appetite in tow. However. This time...well not so great. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and asada tacos. Tacos were fantastic..the cocktail was not what I expected for $9.99! It was more cocktail than shrimp and it wasn't cold. Kinda warm. Yikes. Plus our orders came out at different times and the waitress was less than friendly and extremely slow. Never came to check on us...nothing. Not once. We had to flag her down just to pay! Left a bad taste on my mouth.

On my last day in Los Angeles, my sister took me to this Mexican restaurant. We decided to order two chicken burritos. Since both of us crave spice, we wanted some sauce that would help us get that feeling. The humble and kind gentleman told us about the different sauces that were available. When I got up to get water for the both of us, the gentleman told me that he would bring it. That was nice of him and burritos were delivered fast. We added the different sauces to our chicken burritos. They tasted so good!!! On the top of that, we also got some chips that you can dip into the sauces. Me and my sister were full and loved the burritos!! Customer service rocks!! I am definitely coming back to this place when I come back to California to spend time with my sister!!
(5)Dee Dee G.
We are making this place riiiiccch! Lol. Since about 2 months ago we have been coming about once a week for our quick Mexican food fix. Everything is pretty good. My favorite are still the ceviche tostada and the waffles with peaches and whip cream. The breakfast is goooood and cheap. My boyfriend loves the mole and enchiladas. The rice and beans are okay. I can go without that go straight for the enchiladas and everything else. It's a little place in an old looking shopping center. Next to new spots are opening up. The outside needs a makeover, but who cares that does not take away from the good food they serve at Belinda's. Besides the good food the service is nice. They are always super helpful and kind. They are always ready to help and are friendly. We like this place!
(5)Fingers M.
Terrible about sums it up. We ordered the chile relleno, carne asada enchilada, and the beef taco. Let me begin by telling you I am a Mexican who grew up in L.A. on authentic home cooked Mexican food. To call Belinda's authentic is anything but truthful. It is old, tasteless, and drenched in oil which hasn't ever been an ingredient in a Mexican dish. The chile relleno for starters is cooked with an excessive amount of oil. I don't know whether the oil is from the block of Monterey Jack they stuff the chile with, or directly from the frying pan. Let me tell you though, after two bites my stomach began to churn. The carne asada in my enchilada was tasteless, TASTELESS! How do you take something as savory as carne asada and remove all the flavor from it? I don't know, but Belinda's has managed to master the technique. The beef in the taco was more of the same. It was better than the carne asada, but not at all tasty in any way shape or form. Plus, every single item tasted OLD. I am not kidding you, this stuff tasted like it had been sitting in the bottom of a pan for days. Now listen, I know you are all dismissive when it comes to bad reviews. You wanna lean on the side of the creator, rather than the critic. However, I assure you the food they serve here is not authentic, not fresh, and will likely leave you with a belly ache like it did me. To further emphasis how truthful I am trying to be here, this is the first time I have ever seen fit to leave a review! So, take it for what it is worth because you've been warned.
(1)Andrea B.
I really wasn't too impressed and that's just based off of what my boyfriend and I ordered. The location is very low key so you might have done trouble finding it haha. The inside is whatevers. The strawberry watermelon juice is great! The service was super fast. They have two TVs and a juke box. I ordered los camarones al mojo de ajo and it was very bland. The beans and rice were good though. And my boyfriend ordered the camarones al diablo and be said it tasted like watered down Tapatio. I'm sure the restaurant doesn't suck, maybe the sea good isn't that great?
(3)Dennis N.
Very strong Mexican food! I've had the fried burrito here and actually love it most w/ the green sauce making it "WET". Great contrast between the zesty sauce, crispy shell, and piping hot carne asada and rice!! Mmm mm good!! The menu features a full authentic menu that is sure to satisfy any craving across the Mexican food spectrum. Belinda's also serves you chips and salsa which is typically my favorite thing about Mexican restaurants. The service is GREAT!! The cashier will come to your table and ask if you want a refill--even though the fountain drinks are self-serve! It actually feels a bit awkward to hand over my cup but I definitely do appreciate the gesture made at going above and beyond for some good customer service. Located about 1/8th of a mile away from El Torito, Belinda's is a great alternative when you're not feelin' El Torito.
(4)Jim E.
From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall, from the inside your suspicions are confirmed, it's a hole in the wall, a 4 star hole in the wall run by a father and son, no sign of Belinda but that's ok because the food was good, filling and cheap. I ordered a Carnitas burrito and the pork was very tender and flavorful, you can get it dry or wet with red or green sauce, and the thing is large. My wife had a three taco plate that was also very good. If you are in the mood for beans and rice order one of the combo plate. Everything was made fresh and had the homemade feel and taste. The place had a steady flow of customer during lunch but that did not hinder the stafff making sure the food was to your liking or that you had enough drink in you cup. Their homemade fruit juices are wonderfull and change daily. The type of place you are looking for when you want to support the family owned small business where you feel like they are inviting you into their home and treat you more like family than a customer. 4 stars for the food and an extra star for the friendly atmosphere!

I was craving mexican food and my boyfriend stumbled upon this place on yelp (of course). We decided to check it out and I was pleasantly surprised! The plaza itself may seem a little dead, but don't let this stop you! Despite my slightly awkward encounter with the cashier after saying "torstada" (my mind mixed torta and tostada together), I enjoyed the food. I typically get the al pastor tacos at any Mexican restaurant and these surely did not disappoint. It seemed right for my palette and the meat was sweeter than at other places. The tostada was good as well! The service wasn't bad. There only seems to be one cashier and waiter (same girl) but she was nice. Checked up on us a couple times. Overall, very nice, casual place to eat.
(4)Rose C.
I've only been here during the weekend when there's hardly anyone there so I haven't had to deal with the crowd. The food is really good! I love the soft tacos and the rice and the beans. Overall a really good place to eat!
(4)Johanna D.
My review is entirely based on their customer service. I've been to Belinda's on quite a few occasions and I must say their customer service is that of a DMV type of environment. Abysmal at best! Have you ever seen the Seinfeld episode regarding the Soup Nazi?? Well, this place is the Buena Park version of that! When I was a frequent customer, I would usually call in my orders but I've since stopped doing that altogether. They don't hear you very clearly and get a little abrasive on the line. I then started walking in to place my orders and one time, I had questioned the price on a burrito because I had thought it was charged differently before. The young man took offense and said, "Who charged you that price? Give me his name and I'll deal with him." I deflated the situation because I didn't want to get anyone in trouble or didn't think it was worth that kind of energy. His attitude was unnecessary and a bit unprofessional. Very thuggish. This is not the only negative experience I've had in regard to their customer service. The young man and the older one with all the tattoos are the most repeat offenders. I don't know if they're related or if their mom/pop own the place but a smile and happy attitude are not hard to manage when you're running a small business where customer service and great food are a recipe for success! The food is pretty good but I don't think it warrants the type of customer service I've received. I can't say it's just me because a couple of my friends and colleague have also experienced similar treatment. The masochists in them still frequent the spot. I don't anymore! I rather get my Mexican food fix elsewhere these days.
(2)Hari M.
Simple clean home cooking style Mexican food. Simple decor and courteous staff. Er tried the burritos and the enchiladas as well the quesadillas. Excellent. Will suggest to anyone long for authentic Mexican food.

My co-worker and I, we're at a meeting today, so we yelp to find a place to eat! So Belinda's pop out. We got there we order some food from pictures menu, just want to said that it's doesn't look the same as the picture! I did order mix fajitas on the picture there were colorful, but when I got my plate was all reddish! It was good, service was good! I'll will stop bye on the future and try the menudo!
(4)James L.
Hole in the wall joint! I usually get a carne asada burrito, but the wife always gets something different. Prices are pretty reasonable, plenty of parking, friendly staff and food is pretty good. They have a salsa bar, but what I love are the carrots. I think I grabbed every last carrot they had. Sorry! Nice place to sit and chill! They serve beer and have a juke box. Since we got our food to go, they gave us two little bags of tortilla chips. Too bad they were stale. Gave a few to my dog. He loved them! Overall, pretty good. Good for a quick and easy meal.

I went to Belinda's for the first time because I was too hungry to go out of my way to stop at my usual place (Tacos Baja in Whittier) and because the reviews here seemed to be good. What I ordered: 2 Fish Taco Combo (for me) 4 carne asada tacos (for the boyfriend) The total was $15 something. He said his tacos were good, but a little on the dry side and would want to add cheese or sour cream. I'm not sure if it was the meat that was dry or that he's just used to white people tacos and he never eats salsa on his tacos. Some unusual things I noticed about my fish tacos: - The fish was fried, but not battered. It had some super crispy, super crunchy coating to it that wasn't bad, just not what I'm used to. - There was lettuce instead of cabbage on them. I've never ordered fish tacos and had anything but cabbage on them. The fish tacos were okay. They were huge, and the salsa from this place is great, so that helped with the oddities of the taco. I'm a bean snob, and often hard to please when it comes to this. They were okay. I almost never eat the rice portion of Mexican combos, but Belinda's rice was okay, too. I actually mixed the rice and beans together and decided they tasted better mixed than separate. None of my food had a ton of flavor. The salsa helped negate that. The salsa was pretty damn good. I had the jalapeño salsa and the chipotle salsa. I'd have enjoyed some of the arbol salsa, but the ladle had fallen into the salsa, and there was no way in hell I was reaching into the salsa to get it out. I imagined too many others having to do the same thing, and couldn't get past the idea of all those germs leeching back into the salsa..... I didn't have any problems with the service, and the lady taking orders and delivering food to tables seemed nice. Would I return? If I was starving, and there was lots of salsa to pour on my food to make it more flavorful, yes.
(2)Marie D.
My husband and I went there yesterday for the first time. It was a hot day, no air conditioning just some ceiling fans. The place was okay, probably could use some fresh paint on the inside. I ordered a Torta de Malinesa, (breaded steak sandwich) under $5.00 and my hubby had the three different meats tacos and a drink special for about $5.00. I bit into the fresh soft bread torta and a big smile I could not control took over my face. Everything tasted fresh! I had to YELP this place!! Wow talk about YUMMY!!!!! I want some now. Can't wait to go back and try something new. My hubby also enjoyed his taco. The single soft tacos cost about $1.50. I recommend everyone try one of their tacos and see if you love it too. Bet you will get hooked! Enjoy mis amigos!

Great food, big burritos, menudo every day, fresh and hot, I do suggest ordering ahead for lunch it will be a long wait around noon.
(3)Cindy V.
This place is awesome! I ordered the crépes, eggs, and potato dish! The crépes are freakin delicious!!! The eggs and potatoes were good too, but the crépes were the shiznet.
(5)Mario F.
I've gone twice to this place and both times have been great. FIrst time I got the fish tacos that were very good, along with a chile relleno that was delicious. Second time I got a wet carne asada burrito with half green and red sauce. This place serves plenty of food with a great authentic taste. Only thing stopping from me from rating them a five star is dining in. They don't like keeping their restaurant cool (as in they don't like running their A/C), it gets hot in there! Other than that I will get it "to go"! Keep up the good work guys!

Tried their tacos for lunch. The place is easy to find. I ordered their carne asada tacos al pastor (pork) and their buche (intestine) I was surprised at the amount of meat they give you. It is more than other places. The carne asada was extremely greasy al pastor was very burnt and was quite hard to chew the buche couldve been cooked a little more The tortilla was bomb. Their salsas are good too. I would go again to try some of their burritos.

A+ Food, A+ Service. TRY this place out its good.
(5)Cezar S.
Excellent food quality. Perfect customer service.
(5)Brian K.
My favorite place to eat Mexican. I can't say how "authentic" the food is. I'm a gook that needs a dose of beans now and then. But I do know my taste buds thank me every time I go. Their Buche Burrito is excellent. The menu is very vast, ranging from breakfast to dinner. Highly recommend this place.
(5)Esther S.
This place is the shiz! I may be asian but I am educated in the do's and don't s of Mexican food, and Belinda's is a DO! They have all the usuals you would want, I use the very popular asadas to gauge if I like the restaurant or not. I will say that Belinda's burritos are better than the tacos, but the tacos are still very good. Their sopes are off the hook to. The kicker though is that they have a legit salsa bar, that goes from spicy to oh my god kill me now spicy. I would say that Belinda's has the best Mexican food in North Orange County!
(5)Robert F.
I've lived just over a mile away from this place for over five years, and I'd never been there. So yesterday I decided to change that. And damn, this place is GOOD! Authentic, yes (although I always feel like Mexican food isn't truly authentic unless there are tons of radishes everywhere), but, more importantly, it's flavorful and well made. I got the chicken burrito with green sauce, which somehow raised the price by $1.50, but I had no complaints because it was so tasty. It's also a much nicer and more inviting restaurant than previous Yelp reviews had led me to believe. Don't let the ugly strip mall location fool you.
(4)Krystle C.
Belinda's is bomb. The workers are so nice and always showcase excellent customer service. I like how they give out chips and salsa to go along with the meal. They usually have homemade fruit drinks and I particularly like the cucumber melon. Also, I've had their pancake breakfast and it is yummy, not to mention inexpensive. (A lot better than any other breakfast joint). Aside from the breakfast, my most favorite thing to order at Belinda's is the shrimp ceviche. It is like heaven in my mouth. I absolutely love their ceviche and I think everyone needs to try it out.
(5)Prescott B.
Stopped in while in the area after finding it on Yelp. Solid lunch, quick service, busy place - come early or stand in line. Yeah for Mexican soul food!
(4)Veronica S.
First off, I would have given a better rating however I had HORRIBLE customer service over the phone. I called to place an order and I guess the girl didn't speak english so she just set the phone down. I was on hold for 10 minutes and I just hung up and called back again. Same thing! are you kidding me? If you cant speak english don't answer the phone lady! Finally I called for the 4th time and got someone who did speak english and I placed my order. Once I hung up I realized I forgot one item. There I go again calling back and the same chick kept answering and freezing up everytime I spoke english...WTF. She stayed quiet on the phone while I kept saying "Hello? Hola? Hello?".....UGH!! I was seriously annoyed but I was hungry so I just figured I'd have to order the item once I showed up to pick up the original order. I did complain to the cashier once I arrived however she neglected to even apologize. The food was good however I wont be going to this place if they cant treat their customers right. A sincere apology what have been enough for me...never again!
(1)Vincent S.
Chingon! Menudo is good. Tacos done right. The spinach pineapple juice is awesome.
(5)John M.
Great Food! Pozole, and the Mole are the best!
(4)Dordean H.
We love going to Belinda's always good food. Tonight we tried to call in a order for pick up, a very rude woman picked up the phone asked me to hold and kept me on hold for 8 minutes. My daughter suggested I hang up and call back, after continuing to call for another 10 minutes I gave up. Bummer for them they missed out on at least a 30.00 order. Who ever that woman was needs to be fired or something.
(3)Tony G.
Always good always the best!
(5)Franchesca C.
Underwhelmed with the taste. Not very authentic, the beans tasted like they came from a can :/
(2)Ann A.
Redemption! After having horrible Mexican food a little over a week ago, I've been wanting to have a do over soon. I met a friend that lives in the area for an impromptu dinner. AMBIANCE Just a typical mom & pop decor. Standard tables and chairs, no frills. But, I was here for the food. Its in a strip mall, so don't compare it to fine dining and refinement. SERVICE When we arrived it was still pretty empty. There was only one server for the restaurant. She was pretty prompt and efficient considering that there seemed to be a steady flow of customers. FOOD Oh yeah! Since this experience was so close to my bad experience at another restaurant it was what I needed for my do over. I had the 2 hard taco combo. My friend had the sopes. It really is pretty authentic and it tasted like I was a friend's house having a home cooked meal. Another great thing is that the food was not greasy. PARKING Huge parking lot with lots of parking. I would definitely return and I absolutely love the prices.
(4)Jordan S.
Horrible customer service. Was trying to make an order and who ever the guy was, he was just giving an attitude. Was told that the food was great but I guess ill never find out how good they are.
(1)Ivan M.
I've yet to find better Mexican food in the area. My wife got the Chile Relleno and crunchy taco with rice + beans , and I got 2 Al Pastor tacos and 2 Asada tacos. It was all soooooo tasty! The tacos were authentic, the lime and salsa bar is there for the taking, and prices were good. Environment was very hole-in-the-wall-y, not the cleanest looking at all. Service was spotty due to it being low-staffed, but totally worth it, and they were very friendly. I will be back. Probably every week. Edit: Don't get the enchiladas. Get the tacos, either soft or hard.
(5)John M.
Very average food. Good if you are starving and are right there (like I was.)
(3)Krissy F.
I love this place! The people are very friendly and the food is very tasty. It's not perfect so you can tell that it is homemade/ authentic; which is very nice. I have tried the hard shell tacos (chorizo, pastor, beef, or carnitas); and the chile relleno. The hard shell tacos are sooo good. The Chile relleno is by the far the best I have ever had, and I crave it on the regular. Also, they have fresh fruit drinks (it differs every day) which are refreshing like watermelon drink, mango banana, etc.
(5)Koi K.
Great tacos here. Used to stop by on lunch break often. Their pico de gallo is something special, very spicy and flavorful. Agua frescas here are some of the best I've had, always a good variety and they will give you a sample if you'd like to try. They always offered to top mine off after I had some while waiting on a togo order.
(4)Easter B.
I cannot believe how great their tacos taste! And to think, it's only one long block away from my house. Wtf?!!!! I freaking HEART tacos. I figured I would give this place a shot on the way to Knott's. This place is in a small dead beat looking plaza. I went inside and it was packed! I'm pretty picky when it comes to tacos. The meat here was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. It didn't come with salsa but it wasn't needed. Just tortilla, meat, cilantro, and onions. Delicious. I only tried the asada today but I must go back and try other items on their menu. I have found my new taco shop. Yaaaay~
(4)ryan m.
This place cooks up a great breakfast. Nice and clean place along with outstanding service. Our breakfast order was taken at our table which was a pleasant surprise. Belinda's is not at all expensive and their beans are the best!
(5)Kevin J.
Wet Carne Asada Burrito was excellent. Size is perfect.
(4)Elequa R.
Great food and great service. The aguas frescas are delicious. I had a carnitas sope and it was perfect. The salsa is actually spicy and the chips were warm. You have to try it.
(5)JeL C.
they're not kidding when they included "authentic" in their business name. good price for great food.. if only i wasn't on the Biggest Loser contest at work, i'd come here and try every item on the menu every lunch time. they have really good different types of juices made fresh daily. tripas is great, just gotta stay a little longer on the grill :) cabeza is cheek, not brain. still very good! their staff are nice and friendly.. they deserve my hard-earned 5 stars :)))
(5)Tati N.
i yelped this place before trying the food & i saw many good reviews so i decided to try it out. I wasnt that happy because i ordered the 3 taquito plate and they were pretty skinny and small the only one thing i did enjoy was the guacamole.
(2)Lauren B.
I worked in this area for several months and frequented Belinda's pretty often. Never had anything I didn't like. At worst, it was "fine". At best it was "really good". You won't get anything really oustanding, but you will get good typical Mexican food at a very reasonable price. Their salsa is pretty awesome.
(4)K R.
I used to love this place, but the last couple times it's been downhill. They burned the bottom of my enchilada and got rid of the self serve salsa and no more aqua fresco, bummer. They are also not as friendly as before, crossing this place off my list.
(1)David P.
The best and most authentic Mexican food in all of buena park hands down. The fish tacos are amazing.
(5)Michael L.
Love.. I mean LOVE their Carne Asada Torta. Probably one of the better Tortas I have had. I would say the best but I'm sure I've had other good ones just can't remember. Other great dish is the Carnitas plate. I've brought friends, family here and never really had a complaint about how good the food taste. Only few downsides is no A/C. Can get really hot in there. They have fans but still. Other is the service sometimes. There is a younger girl there that seems like every time I go in there for carry out she is having the worst day and is not interested in taking my order. I always say please and thank-you but no reciprocation. Oh well... as long as the cook in the back keeps making the great food I'll put up with it.
(4)Symantha S.
HAVING A PARTY??? HIRE BELINDAS TACO GUYS!!!!! Trust me on this. I am married to a Mexican man with a huge family with birthdays almost every week lol! We hire Belindas for the same price as all the other little taco guys and Belindas Not only blew them out of the water with Flavor but they provide everything that goes with the tacos. Limes, guacamole, chips and salsa, even hard shells for the tacos with cheese and lettuce ( great for the kids). OH and did i mention the freakin Quesadillas!! What taco guy makes Quesadillas??? Belindas does!!! Thanks Belindas for knowing how to make a birthday party easy for the mom and enjoyble for everyone.
(5)Bryce C.
Belindas, how I love thee. The guys behind the counter are always happy to see you, and they never mess up orders. You can't go wrong in this place. I've had quite a few things off of the menu, and I'm always impressed. If there's a downside to this place- it's the lack of seating. It is tiny, and loads up with people during the weekdays. But trust me- the wait is worth it. Even if you have to eat your burrito standing up.
(4)Perlie p.
Hole in the wall Mexican is usually a safe bet for some yummy food! We ordered the carne asada all meat burrito, carne asada taco, chorizo taco, fish taco and carne asada torta. First off the basic carne asada was so flavorful that you really didn't have to put anything on it, it was that good! Chorizo was AMAZING...its really hard to find good chorizo tacos that arent full of little balls of fat or other unidentifiable parts, this looked like a sausage that had been cut into pieces...just what I wanted! Fish taco was just OK, it was bigger then the regular tacos but not much flavor. All in all this a great little shop with great service and LOTS of options.
(4)Loren L.
Finally got pozole. And they kept bring us refills of there homemade juice. This place is a must try once a week. And its affordable.
(4)Lisa Z.
Absolutely great Mexican food, surprising find in a little strip mall just east of the Valley View/Orangethorpe intersection on Orangethorpe. After a rainy day, my DH wanted some soup, so we called around to find out who in the area would have Caldo de Res. We only found one other local establishment (who had just run out), then tried Belinda's and yes, they had it, along with many other soups. We drove over and got the soup, I got the chile rojo special (made with pork! delicious!) and my special came with an Agua Fresca (got the pineapple/spinach- sounds weird but it was great). DH's Caldo was really good too, and the tortillas were fresh and delicious. Great salsas too, I'm in love with their hot garlicky one. Very very friendly place and it seems family run. They also have an EXTENSIVE menu, hard to believe they have so much to offer. We'll be back! PS~ They do have tables for dine-in, although we ordered to go. They are also open for breakfast.... can you say, chilaquiles?
(5)Elle T.
Who'd thunk that we'd find such a lovely little Mex place all the way out in Buena Park? Located In the same Plaza as Del Taco, Belinda's is almost a hole-in-the wall restaurant. There were plenty of people here on their lunch break by the time we came in to have lunch. In short, best Chile Rellenos EVER! Unlike some other restaurants that I've had Chile Rellenos, Belinda's are not soggy at all and they use Pasilla (aka Poblano) peppers, rather than Anaheim. The batter is crisp, the peppers fresh and still crisp, and the filling - very cheesy :) Wonderful combination, with a carne asada taco, beans and rice included all for about $7. The beau loved the chicken tacos as well as the refillable homemade horchata :) Our server/cashier was very attentive and polite and kept refilling up our chips (hot and crisp as well!) - such wonderful service! if I'm ever in the area again, Belinda's is definitely on the restaurant-to-choose menu! :)
(5)HelloKitty L.
The best things here are the chile rellenos and the employees! They have a pretty large menu for being such a small place. They even have birria(goat), menudo, ceviche etc. All the real Mexican stuff! I strongly urge you to get the chile rellenos, I think they are the best I've ever had, and they don't skimp on the cheese! They always have home made fruit juices there too-they are delicious and usually have chunks of fruit in it! Now the employees, every single one of them are super super nice! They come and check on the table all the time! Seriously like 5 times in one meal!
(4)Christopher B.
Since I wrote the original review this place has been packed every time I come. I have been several more times and the people who work there are awesome and the food is excellent. I had the nopalitos con huevos today- I can't say enough about it. Yet another dish that makes the list of recommended dishes!
(4)Jesse T.
I really like this place. It's one of those hole in the walls type of restaraunt. The food is great. I've had from the Shrimp coctail to the wet burrito and they have all been good. I recommend it.
(5)Krystal R.
We stopped in here this past weekend for lunch with our friends after another busy day of painting their house. We had all worked up big appetites and this little hole in the wall would be perfect for our lunch fix. We quickly got sat down but the service was a little slow to start. There are a large number of specials available for lunch. Everyone ordered their drinks of aqua fresca - the sandia - the watermelon. It tasted like you were drinking fresh watermelon water. I ordered the tacos combo plate with two fish tacos and rice and beans. The tacos were pretty average because I considered it a large portion for myself - but I ended up just eating the majority of the fish not the tortillas and most of my rice and beans. My husband ordered a wet burrito with chile rojo and that sucker was spicy. It had just the right amount of heat that my husband could tolerate...anymore it would have been too spicy to eat. It had a good amount of beans/rice and lots of sauce over the burrito. My only complaint would be really the wait time. Our waitress was quite busy -handling the front counter and all the tables at the same time. Which is understandable since the small capacity - at times you could smell the wonderful aroma of the carne asada being prepared. But the food aroma mixed in with the temperature of the restaurant as well, so it would be waves of cool and hot/ food and nothing...it kinda drove me crazy with hunger and gave me the sense of what it would be like to have "hot flashes!" The customer service is a 3 only because she was a little slow at times, but food gets a 4 because it was really flavorful and good. If you're hungry and don't care for much of the heat...give it try. It's worth a shot for those tasty rice and beans! yum!

In my first review of Belinda's, I gave it 5 stars for the quality of it's food and service back in 2010. Unfortunately, the place has gradually been going down hill. Today, I went back to Belinda's to give it another chance and made an order to go. Sad to say, once again they were a disappointment. The taste of the food is not what it used to be. Maybe a new cook? Further, they failed to complete the order and left out the rice. They do this a lot. Shame on me for not checking the order at the restaurant. When at home, I called the restaurant and asked for a partial refund. The owner's son repeatedly said, "Sorry Boss, You'll have to return for the rice only, nothing else will be done for you." Needless to say, I did not feel like their boss, much less their customer. Someone who was perceived as the boss would have been treated better. For a few pennies of rice, they lost a good customer indefinitely.
(1)Anthony T.
Located in an unattractive strip mall kind of across the way from a more attractive strip mall is Belinda's. Though they may lack in excellent service (sometimes items can be forgotten or food not taken back/refunded after complaining), I still come here because it has an amazing Machaca plate. There's nothing like popping in here on a Sunday morning after a night of heavy drinking and eating some of the savoriest beef your tongue has had the pleasure of enjoying. And not only that, all their other plates are muy delicioso as well (see what I did there? I spoke Spanish.)
(4)Steve V.
Authentic all the way down to the beer.
(4)T P.
All I can say is wow. I love Belinda's. I found this hole in the wall on yelp almost a year ago just cause i was in the area looking for mexican food. Now I go there almost weekly even if I have to drive 30 minutes. The people working there are awesome, it's authentic mexican just like the name says. There is so much to choose from but honestly I stick to the 3 taco special and chips and salsa. 6 bucks for 3 tacos which you'll have enough meat left over for 4, a soda, and chips and salsa. Great deal. I just wanna know what they season their meats with, they are the best tasting tacos I have ever had. I recommend if you like tacos, get the 3 taco special, and get a real taste of the meat before you move on to other things like burritos. Definitely get the chicken and seasoned pork. The carne asada or carnitas for the third taco, thats up to you. Seasoned pork and the carnitas pork is much different.
(5)Bryan S.
my gf found this hole-in-the-wall while looking for good mexican places by her house. i was surprised when we first went, since i used to go to the dry cleaners in the plaza all the time and never noticed that the restaurant was there. anyway, i've tried a few different things here. their tostadas are pretty good, but a little on the greasy side. their wet burrito is pretty good as well. not a big fan of the taquitos, but my sister swears they're good. their tortas aren't bad, but after having them at el taurino, i'm a little picky. haha. my first experience wasn't the greatest. i put in a takeout order and for some reason, the waitress (with the skull tattoo behind her ear) kept ringing me up for a higher amount (almost 10 dollar difference). i asked her for an itemized receipt, and she could not provide me with one. she broke down the prices, and i did the math in my head. even with tax, the price should only have been 14-15 dollars. she insisted that they prices added up to 24-25 dollars. after punching away the numbers in the calculator a few times, she realized that she switched my order with someone else's (which still doesn't account for the adding problems). despite all this, i would definitely recommend giving this place a try. their food is authentic like they say, and they are very friendly. there's also a small salsa bar.
(4)Jaime C.
Good fast food Mexican food. I had the Al Pastor and Asada, both very good. Delishes tortas, buritos, and tacos. Every now and then they slip up, dont cook the meat as good as they should and can be a bit greasy. I wouldn't go during lunch thats when i had the bad experiences.
(3)Jay P.
Yes, Belinda's is that good. Go there with an open mind, ignore the menu and ask them to feed you. Be prepared for a loud TV, slightly odd seating arrangements and some KILLER food. The salsa bar is awesome. Most of the time I ask for the special or order tacos. The folks at Belinda's are amazingly nice and cool....GO.
(5)C L.
Love this place. The downside is that it is quite small and there is no air conditioning. So be prepared...and also, you may have to wait awhile for your food.
(4)Ivan R.
3-Star Food + 5-Star Service = Sorry, you're still getting a 3... I've been to Ciudad Juarez, where the burrito was invented...This ain't it... I work off Valley View and often wish there was somewhere along my drive to work (91E from LB) that I could pick up a burrito before I go to work. I usually think Diana's (which sucks) and then just go to work hungry, but today I thought..."What about that Mexican hole in the wall, next to that Japanese hole in the wall and that Thai hole in the wall off Valley View & Orangethorpe??" Yup, that's Belinda's! I haven't been there in years!! I walk in today and hear some Los Bukis...Nice!, I smell frijoles...Nice!, I order a burrito de carne asada con todo y una Negra Modelo, para llevar, por favor...YES, I SCORED A CARNE ASADA BURRITO & A BEER TOGO!! I just got carded...NICE!! I'm so pumped up, I'm all "Que Nice" right now!? I get to my office, ready for my "Authentic Mexican" burrito. Sadly this burrito was stuffed with a fist full of bland rice, really distracting me from what I expected to be some awesome beans and what ended up being some mediocre meat... The workers were great and very involved in what I thought was a simple order. If I were to go back, I'd be certain to order something else...and clearly define what I wanted in my burrito...it takes more than not adding lettuce to make Authentic Mexican Food... -------- Domestic Beers $2.75, Imported Beers $3.25 ----------
(3)Grace H.
do not come here during weekday lunch (unless its around 11) because it gets really really busy. i always to-go my order so i don't know how the sit down service is. belinda definitely delivers on quality of flavor and quantity of meat~ never been disappointed by anything i've tried here: wet carne asada burrito, breakfast burrito, almost all of their tacos definitely recommend the taco plate special ($5 for three tacos plus a drink). also comes with chips and salsa. THEY HAVE CHORIZO TACOS. omg, so amazing. please get it!
(4)Craig D.
Had the Wet Asada Burrito with Redsauce...not bad...but I think I need to try more things to give a complete review...... so this will be continued another time.
(3)Stan S.
I've coming here for about 2 years now. What used to be one of my favorites has gone to the bottom of my list. The service is spotty at best. The young girl who works on Friday nights is overwhelmed and rude. The food has suffered as well. Sometimes the food is consistent and very good. That's not very often. It's never prepared the same way twice. If you go it's a crapshoot what you will get.
(1)David T.
They told me they could do a taco kart for my work party. I had it all set up with the owner, and when I drove all the way down there to put my deposit down they said they were all booked up, and could not do the party.
(1)Jeff S.
A good value for the price. Had the chile relleno and soft taco (pastor) combination. The chile relleno was so-so (which was a disappointment after seeing the other reviews on it...maybe the cook was having a bad day). It wasn't particularly bad, but it wasn't particularly noteworthy either. The taco made up for it. First time trying pastor (some sort of spiced pork). The minitortilla it was on was too small, so I transferred it to the tortillas they supplied...then ate the minitortilla, as some of the spicing was still on it...
(4)Ryan R.
The food is ok but their organization sucks. 30 + minute wait for a couple carne asada burritos. Ridiculous. I won't be back anytime soon.
(2)roger m.
Pretty bland Mexican food. However the Pzole is looks gnarly. My coworker ordered some to go, and I will never forget the 7 inch pork bone remains he left in our kitchen from that experience. He said is was one of the best soups (caldos) he has ever had. I only order a bean a cheese burrito when I go there and it's mediocre at best. The problem I have with this place is that some of the servers are hustling and helpful while the others are....well... rude. I don't eat here anymore, I just wasn't impressed. Unfortunately, they try to portray their restaurant as being authentic and a refreshing change from Del Taco (next store). But at least at Del Taco the staff is nice...
(2)Justin D.
Authentic indeed. Small, loud, and dirty... just like a taco stand in Tiajuana. There is nothing wrong with that because the reason I eat Mexican food is because when it is good... it is GOOD. I usually get the two taco combo with asada and al pastor. I have yet to turn my nose up at anything on the plate. The food here is great. Huge burritos. The beans are well prepared as well as the rice, and the salsa is actually pretty damn great. Today I even had some sort of hand-drawn pineapple drink, and it was nothing short of incredible. Forget about the atmosphere let the food take you to straight to Puerto Nuevo. However, if you value your personal time at all you will avoid the lunch rush especially on Fridays... it can take upwards to 30 min. to get your food, and if they get it right you are lucky. Don't even think about getting a booth or any seat for that matter. If you are in the area give Belinda's a try. It is worth it and it is safer then it looks.
(4)Danny Y.
I absolutely love this place!!! I love their Carne Asada Burrito, chips & salsa, and enchiladas! I especially enjoy how the staff takes extra care of you, to make sure you are having a great time and they accomplish this by getting you refills, more chips and salsa, and asking if you are enjoying the food. I've had some great memories here and I'm sad i had to leave this area (the company i worked for in the CITY NATIONAL BUILDING moved).. I've been to many restaurants and the best carne asada burrito is here!
(5)Richard C.
I cant really add much that has not already been said about this place. The people are great, prices are good, and the food is .......like it was made at home. The one thing that I am surprised by is that I have not read much about the Al Pastor tacos. Let me say.....if you have not yet tried them, then you have to stop what you are doing and go get hem now!! Thats right.....stop now.....go! I have tried many things on the menu and would agree that the food is great, but I cannot pull myself away from having at least two Al pastor tacos in addition to anything else that I order. Also, like many have said, the ceviche is great. I usually get the shrimp ceviche, but the seafood ceviche is also very good and very fresh.....made every morning. Have you left yet?
(4)Mayra G.
Love this place! My favorite dish is the tostada de ceviche de camaron, it has a lot of lime so if you don't like sour stuff stay away from it. But seriously I've got to say this is the only place where they make ceviche better than I can, because I know how to make some ceviche like it's my mother effing job! Their tacos are really good also, the meat is tasty and they stuff them with a lot of it. Just squirt some lime on them, with a splash of cholula sauce and you're good to go. And please for the love of god order an horchata, it's sooooo good. One of the best I've ever had. I gave it 4 stars because their nachos were not all that great, but I'm glad I have a mexican restaurant around my job instead of nothing but asian food.
(4)Sheri J.
I decided to try something new and because of all the great yelp reviews my friend and I went here. I ordered the chile rellenos and a shredded beef taco combo, everything was absolutely wonderful. They gave us a sample of the aqua fresca, the green one with cucumber, and it was delicious. My friend enjoyed her meal as much as I did mine. The staff was super friendly and we will definitely return.
(5)Just Me P.
just had lunch here today for the first time. It is actually really good. I had the three taco combo (pollo, asada & carnitas) & included a drink. I had the Sandia agua fresca...very, very tasty! The combo including tax was $5.97. like some of the other posters mentioned, the customer service is reallygreat; much more than you would expect from a 'hole in the wall' mexican food joint. You order and pay for your food at the counter and your server brings your meal to the table=Awesome! Oh, and while you are waiting, they bring you bottomless chips & salsa. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out.
(4)Joe C.
Ouch! Authentic Mexican food is right. I ordered four tacos from their ample menu. pollo, asada, carnitas, and lingua. These street sized beauties were perfect. I washed them down with Agua de Sanda (watermelon) and some free chips and salsa. The meal cost all of $7.50. On the down side, the place is cramped, crowded, noisy, and a little dirty - thus only three stars. I felt at home, and they welcomed my business. I'll be back with friends. Plus - I live within walking distance, I hope they have a breakfast menu. On a side note, they charge fifty cents for credit card transactions, so bring cash.
(3)Poppa D.
I'm on my way there now for lunch! I order the carna asada burrito without rice though, but I love the street tacos. Hey alot of the places I like are small hole in the walls but I like the place. Whats so funny is it's right next to Del Taco wich is about as unauthintic as you can get.
(4)Joe C.
Home away from home. This is our little gem! Great food and service.

I love this place! Yes, it small crowded hole in the wall and as soon as you walk in you hear the mexican music in the background and the tv on to Cristina. But the serive is great. This is a family owned restaurant and they treat you like family. There is one little guy that you can tell is new to the business and he is rushing to get your meal but the veterans there can do 20 things at once and offer you a beer with a smile. They have an ample menu and I usually order the sopes since most places do not offer them on the menu. Some of the menu items are just like homemade but I think the food can be a little bland for a true mexican. But I think they are trying to cater to our non hispanic friends so ask for some salsa and you are ready to go.

Belinda's is one of the only Authentic Mexican places in the west side of Buena Park. Yes it is located in a very old small strip center that looks like it has been there since at least back in the early 60's. I call Belinda's a "Restaurant" because there is much more to their menu than a "Taco Joint" aka Tacos Mexico the only other place on the west side of BP. I was just there this morning and ordered a breakfast burrito for my GF and a Torta Cubana for myself. My sandwich was great and her burrito was fresh and tasty. I have noticed they have been adding more and more to the menu and to me that means alot. Not the same ol thing every time! I had noticed on their menu board a crepe breakfast combination! The staff is always friendly and nice. If you are in the Valley View and Orangethorpe area and need your fix, rather it be Birria or some Sopes. Pop into Belinda's and get your fix. If there is someone who is Mexican food challenged with you............you can order them a cheese burger and fries! (off their menu)

I like to stop by here for lunch if I want mexican food. Usually get the 3 taco special. The salsa/pico de gallo they have here is top notch, it has a flavor and spice that I haven't had from other mexican restaurants. Overall food is good and greasy as you can expect from a mexican restaurant. Seems to be about the only place around my office that serves mexican (other than el torito which is pretty bad) - thankfully they serve good food.

This didn't compare to the street food I've had in Mexico, but what does!! My unqualfied opinion (I live in Seattle, far away from Mexico) is that this place has straight forward, prepared con carino, Mexican food. I left a happy and stuffed man.

Sorry to say that we were less than impressed. Sodas are given with three ice cubes in FLAT drinks...no fizz either in diet or regular! Chips were stale and not crisp...but the salsa is good and spicy. I ordered combo with cheese enchilada and shredded taco. Meet tough and the way they stack the taco, you can't pick it up to eat, so have to use a fork.. Not easy! Everything was room temp. My husband ordered chili rellano and it was very good and hot but beans and rice and his enchilada were cold. We tried this place and wanted to like it, but didn't!

pozole everyday??? fresh spinach agua fresca???? wow this place really impressed me. i discovered this place because the owner Gilbert does the best taco parties ever. if you need catered tacos, burritos and other custom mexican food made to order - inquire within. ask for Gilbert Senior. i had pozole when i dropped off my deposit for our party. it was great. i have never seen any restaurant that has pozole everyday. i believe theu have menudo and siete mares everyday too. great hidden little treasure!

Not bad. 3.94 for a burrito on Tuesdays! For 3.94, deserves 3.5 stars, but I have to round down because of the dirty joint (as others have pointed out)

Food was very authentic , tacos were exactly what I was expecting. Combo plate portions were a lil small. Waitress needs more customer service skills. Will try it again for sure. I will try b something different.

Great divvy Mexican home in the walls family run restaurant... Was delighted dictate their chia cucumber infused spinach Agua fresca... Don't get scared off by the rough looking patrons.. The food is worth it. Stopped in for huevos rancheros .. Tasty homemade well prices and quick.

Pros: spicy shrimp , rice and salsa. Cons: chicken fajita was dry and cold , chips very stale ,and carne Asada taco was greasy. Service was slow and took a long time to get my food but since most of my food was cold I would of expected quicker food. Won't be coming back and I live around the corner.
